Tiffany loves her lips. They’re natural appearing with filler and lip flip.

Tiffany was eager for some nice lucious lips. Her initial treatment consisted of Revanesse Versa TM+ Filler with Lidocaine and Xeomin Botox around her mouth to relax the lines. Most recently we added in more Xeomin Botox on the boarder of her lips for a lip flip. This really helped to finalize the look she was hoping for. It was important to me that I receive training from a reputable organization. I searched and found the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics (AAFE).

I was interested in the history as well as the benefits of Botulinum Toxin for treatment of facial imperfections that occur over time due to stressors from self care, our environment as well as family genetics. Additionally, treatment is beneficial in helping to manage oral facial pain to include migraine management as well as transmandibular joint (TMJ) pain from grinding and clenching teeth.

The American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE) was founded in 2007 by Dr. Louis Malcmacher. AAFE is an educational organization for healthcare professionals interested in non-surgical and non-invasive facial treatments, such as injectables and fillers.

The AAFE's growth coincided with the increasing popularity of non-surgical treatments like Botox and fillers. The first cosmetic use of Botox was approved by the FDA in 2002.

What is Botulinum Toxin? It's derived from a toxin produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium.

How does it work? When injected in small, controlled doses, botulinum toxin blocks the transmission of nerve signals to muscles. It does this by inhibiting the release of acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction, causing localized muscle relaxation and temporary paralysis.

My goal is to help my clients obtain the most natural and individualized effects utilizing AAFE approach to facial aesthetics training and certification I’ve received.

I want to provide education and comfort to clients through the process no matter what their choice of treatment: Botulinum Toxin, Filler, Oral Facial Pain, management of TMJ and Migraine Pain. Utilization of fillers and a new treatment learned by using smooth PDO Threads instead or in conjunction with fillers to help smooth lines and wrinkles. Additionally, the PDO threads are used to help produce fuller lips.
