All Things Collagen

Collagen makes up about 30% of the protein found in the human body. It provides strength and structure to skin, bones, tendons, and ligaments.

Collagen is what gives our face and neck structural support, but as we age our body’s natural collagen production starts to decline. You may not only see it in your face, but feel it in your joints and ligaments.

Just a few small adjustments to your routine can boost collagen production and make a huge difference in your skin’s elasticity and “bounce” and help ease joint discomfort.

If you have an allergy or severe sensitivity to Aspirin, you may have a heightened sensitivity to salicylic acid

What To Know
Aspirin and salicylic acid share a similar chemical structure. When you take aspirin, your body breaks it down into salicylic acid.

Reactions vs. Allergy To Salicylic Acid
A normal reaction to salicylic acid is mild tingling, flakiness, and dryness as the product exfoliates and removes dead skin. If you have a true aspirin allergy, your reaction to salicylic acid may be more severe, with symptoms like redness, swelling, hives, respiratory issues, or a systemic reaction.

Safer Alternatives
Benzoyl peroxide is a great alternative to salicylic acid for treating acne.

*It's important to note that not everyone with an aspirin allergy will have a severe reaction to salicylic acid.*
