EcoRECOVERY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit 🌲 Reimagining recovery through nature, connection & community for people with lived experience of addiction and those who love them. 💚 Connection is the correction.
THIS!
I am still carrying so much gratitude from the opportunity to take the stage as a keynote speaker, share my story, connect with so many extraordinary humans, and celebrate my very first book signing for Healing Mama.
There was laughter. There were tears. There was connection. And there was a whole lot of fun.
To everyone who showed up, listened, shared a piece of themselves with me, bought a book, stood in line for a signature, offered a hug, or simply reminded me why this work matters and I just want to say thank you.
For me, this was about so much more than giving a keynote or signing books. It was about what becomes possible when we make space for lived experience, healing, recovery, and the stories that too often go unheard.
My story has taken me through homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, recovery, motherhood, healthcare, chronic illness, and ultimately into a life and career centered on helping create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and connected.
And I’m just getting started.
If you’re looking for a keynote speaker who brings lived experience, vulnerability, humor, hope, and a powerful message about recovery, healthcare, resilience, belonging, and the healing power of connection, I would love to bring this conversation to your conference, organization, or community.
Let’s create spaces where stories matter, lived experience leads, and people leave remembering that they have the power to make a difference.
Stay rooted. Stay wild. And never underestimate the impact of your story. 🌿
I’m not sure there are words big enough for what this moment felt like.
To stand in front of a room filled with people doing such important work, share pieces of my story, my heart, and the work that means so much to me, and then be met with this kind of reception, was incredibly humbling.
I am deeply grateful to every person who listened, laughed, cried, connected, and reminded me why sharing our stories matters.
Because none of us does this work alone. Every conversation, every connection, every moment we choose to show up for another human being creates ripples we may never fully see.
So keep showing up. Keep using your voice. Keep making space for others. Keep believing that the work you do matters, even on the days when you wonder if anyone notices.
Stay rooted. Stay wild. And always remember: you make a difference in someone’s life.

As I have said before - sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when we simply slow down enough to notice them. 🌿
Today was one of those days.
We wandered. We explored. We laughed. We met new neighbors, including a few beautiful four-legged ones 🐴, and we gave ourselves permission to step away from the noise and simply be together.
No rushing. No agenda to accomplish. No need to be anywhere other than right where we were.
That is part of the beauty of Forest Therapy. It isn’t about how far we walk or how much ground we cover. It’s about slowing down enough to experience the raw moment, to notice what is around us, to connect with the land, with one another, and maybe even with parts of ourselves we haven’t heard from in a while.
For a little while, the world asked nothing of us.
And we asked nothing of the forest.
We simply shared the moment. 🌲💚
This is EcoRECOVERY.
🌿 The forest asks for nothing from us… yet gives us everything.
It doesn’t ask us to be productive.
It doesn’t ask us to explain ourselves.
It doesn’t ask us to hurry, achieve, fix, or become anything.
It simply invites us to arrive.
And in return, it offers shade and shelter. Stillness and beauty. A place to breathe more deeply, soften our shoulders, quiet the noise, and remember that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.
This Sunday, we invite you to experience that kind of connection during our Guided Forest Therapy gathering on the EcoRECOVERY Trail at Fish Hatchery Park.
This is not a hike, and you don’t need any experience with meditation, mindfulness, or forest therapy. You only need a willingness to slow down, be curious, and spend a little intentional time in relationship with the more-than-human world.
🌲 Sunday, September 27

Come exactly as you are.
The forest won’t ask anything of you.
But you may be surprised by how much you take home. 🌲💚
♥️ Please have a heart… and don’t destroy ours! ♥️
During our guided EcoRECOVERY walks, we practice reciprocity with the land, slowing down to notice, connect, and consider what it means to be in relationship with the natural world.
This heart is part of that practice.
Each item placed here represents a person who took the time to connect with the land during one of our gatherings. Participants are invited to mindfully add a found natural item to the heart as a symbol of their connection to the land, to community, and to one another.
Over time, the heart grows and changes, just as a community does. 🌿
If you happen upon it, we ask that you please leave it for others to experience and enjoy.
And even better, come join us this Sunday! Experience the practice for yourself, learn the story behind our heart, and perhaps add your own piece to this beautiful symbol of connection.
Because healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in relationship, with ourselves, with one another, and with the land. ♥️🌲
