The Bible is very specific about each office so we must trust the written word that is important to the function of the body of Christ. But holding these positions is not easy and comes with a lot of criticism and sacrifice. So remember to pray for those that have said yes to their calling in the 5 Fold Ministry.

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12
“Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Philippians 3:14
“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Did you know that representing each of the 5 Fold offices in the church government keeps the church balanced? So the lack of some of those offices will create an imbalance, for instance:

The lack of Evangelist = stale faith, no outreach

The lack of Apostle = the lack of ability to break new ground

The lack of Prophet = lack of a compass or spiritual discernment

The lack of Pastor = lack of emotional healing or feeling cared for

The lack of Teacher = lack of doctrine grounding or truths taught

They all serve a purpose!
