Braid season is upon us!! Its cute, convenient and comfortable. BUT what are you doing to protect YOUR hair??

Do:
-get professional maintenance before braids (clarifying shampoo, proper scalp care, and select deep conditioner. Plus trim if needed)

-after removing the braids, lightly detangle using a water bottle and leave in conditioner.

-if at that half way mark, its ok to shampoo.

Dont

-keep them in too long. Once week 7 comes and you know it's time, take em out.

-while wearing them do tight buns.

-apply heavy oils everyday

-dont let the Braider clip up the shaft of your hair

-use alot of edge control. Most contain alcohols which will result in loss of hair.

Lets protect what we have so that come silk press season your Stylist will be happy about how well you took care of your hair! 💙
