1. Your title doesn’t make you too important to sweep the floor.
Owner. Manager. Master stylist. New stylist. I don’t care. If the floor is dirty, fu***ng sweep it.

2. I don’t believe in “that’s not my job.”
If your coworker is drowning and you have two minutes to help, HELP.

3. Systems are not micromanagement.
Chaos is not a salon culture. I’d rather have clear expectations and systems than have everyone constantly guessing what the hell is going on.

4. I will choose my stylist over a bad client.
Not every client is a good client. And I’m not sacrificing my team’s mental health, dignity, or boundaries to keep someone spending money.

5. Your coworkers are NOT your competition.
If another stylist gets booked out, makes more money, or starts doing something better than you… THAT IS NOT YOUR LOSS.

Get better. Learn from them. Celebrate them.

6. If you can’t take feedback, you’re not ready to grow.
And yes, that applies to me too.

7. I WANT my stylists to outgrow me.
If your goal is to keep your team small so nobody gets “too successful,” we have very different ideas about leadership.

8. I’m not gatekeeping education.
If I spend money learning something that makes me better, I’m teaching my team. Because apparently some salon owners think knowledge is a fu***ng family secret. 😂

9. Culture matters more than having a full book of sh*tty attitudes.
I would rather have fewer people who are coachable, kind, talented, and hungry to grow than a packed salon full of egos.

I’m still behind the chair.
So I’m not leading from an office pretending I know what it’s like on the floor.

I know what it’s like to be exhausted.
I know what it’s like to have a difficult client.
I know what it’s like when your books are slow.
I know what it’s like to constantly question if you’re good enough.

I GET IT!.. and I’m here to create a culture where we can grow together🖤
