Why your venue matters to your Hair & Makeup Artist on wedding day:

* Getting-ready space: We need to know where we’ll be working. Is there enough room for our team, chairs, tables, mirrors, and all our products?
* Lighting: Natural light vs. a dark room can make a BIG difference when applying makeup. Good lighting helps us see skin tone, blending, and details accurately.
* Power outlets: Hair styling means hot tools, blow dryers, curling irons, etc. We need to know where outlets are located and if we’ll have access to enough power.
* Location & travel time: Your venue’s exact location helps us plan arrival times, parking, loading/unloading, and any travel fees.
* Where the bridal party is getting ready: If the bride and bridal party are in different rooms or buildings, that can affect the timeline and how many artists we need.
* Your wedding-day timeline: We need to know what time you have to be photo-ready, not just what time the ceremony starts. Hair & makeup should be finished with enough cushion for getting dressed, photos, and those last-minute moments.
* Venue restrictions: Some venues have rules about where hair and makeup can be done, what time vendors can arrive, or whether certain rooms are available.
* Photos: Your photographer may want details, getting-ready photos, and bridal portraits. We want to make sure you’re finished and ready when those moments happen.
