☀️ UV exposure = one of the top causes of pigment fading and color shift

🧴 Retinols, glycolic acid & acne treatments fade pigment unevenly, keep actives off the brow area

🧬 Skin type, body chemistry & past tattoo history all affect healing (that's normal, not a mistake)

🎨 Color choice, depth plays a big roll on how they fade

⚠️ Layering new pigment over faded/discolored brows without correction = higher risk of unwanted undertones

🔁 Touch-ups every 12–24 months keep brows fresh and prevent patchiness or color shifting

Your needle choice isn't one-size-fits-all. Your client's skin decides. 🎯

Save this before your next appointment:

📍 Very thin/thin skin → 1RL, fine detail work, nano brows
📍 Normal skin → 1RL or 3RL, most versatile, all techniques work
📍 Medium-thick skin → 3RL, built for ombré and powder brows
📍 Thick/very thick skin → 3RL, stronger pigment deposit needed

But here's what separates a good artist from a great one: the chart is your starting point, not your final answer. Depth, speed, pressure, and technique still need to adjust in real time based on collagen density, age, and how that specific client's skin responds under the needle.

This is the kind of detail that gets skipped in rushed trainings and it's exactly why so many artists plateau.
