📚 Helping us parents Understand Our Kids’ Big Feelings

08/07/2026

🤷🏾‍♀️Even the person making calm videos has big feelings.

Sometimes I feel frustrated.
Sometimes I feel overwhelmed.
Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever finish recording.

Then I remember…

Big feelings aren’t a sign to quit. They’re a chance to pause, breathe, and begin again.

I’m learning right alongside the children and parents I create these stories for.

If you’ve had a day where everything felt harder than it should, you’re not alone. 🤍

🤷🏾‍♀️Parenting has made me notice something…

My kids aren’t the only ones with big feelings.

I’m still learning mine too. 💜

🥴 I still catch myself saying, “Calm down”… and I still have to stop and rethink my response.

Parenting has a way of bringing out the patterns we grew up with.

I wasn’t taught how to understand big feelings. I was taught how to make them 🛑 stop.

And sometimes, I still fall back into that 🤦🏾‍♀️.

So I created Mother of Stories ☁️.

My mission is to help parents and children become curious about their feelings so they can recognize them, understand them, and learn how to move with them.

Because feelings aren’t the problem.

Misunderstanding them is.

💛 Does this resonate with you? I’d love to hear what feeling has been hardest for your family to understand.

Sometimes the things that change your life don’t start with a perfect plan.

Mother of Stories began with one simple belief: children deserve help understanding their big feelings, and parents deserve tools that make those conversations a little easier.

So I stopped waiting until everything was figured out… and started creating.

If even one child feels seen, or one parent feels a little less alone, it’s worth it. 💜
