The best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing. It feels like community. 💗
Some of the best ways I’ve ever grown a business had nothing to do with running another ad or posting “BOOK NOW.”
It came from showing up, building relationships, and finding ways to add value.
Imagine partnering with a local realtor and creating a Welcome to the Neighborhood gift for every new homeowner.
A small beauty product.
A complimentary upgrade.
A handwritten welcome note.
An introduction to your business.
The realtor gets to surprise their client with something thoughtful.
You get introduced to a potential new client through someone they already trust.
That’s marketing without feeling like marketing.
Think beyond social media:
Partner with local businesses.
Support community events.
Give back to local organizations.
Create referral partnerships.
Celebrate other businesses.
Become someone your community actually knows.
Because people may scroll past another ad…
But they remember the businesses that show up for them.
Your community isn't just where your business is located.
It's one of your greatest marketing opportunities. 💗
What local business could you partner with this month? Tag them below — you might just start your next great collaboration right here.
"We're hiring!"
You post it on Instagram.
You put it on Indeed.
You wait...
And either nobody applies—or the RIGHT people don't apply.
Sound familiar?
Finding great staff for your beauty business requires more than posting an opening.
You have to start recruiting before you need someone.
Here are a few places I'd start:
💗 Beauty schools
Build relationships with instructors and students BEFORE graduation. Offer to speak, mentor, host tours, or provide education.
💗 Your own clients
Tell them you're growing! Your clients know stylists, estheticians, lash artists and beauty professionals you may never reach online.
💗 Your current team
Create a referral incentive for introducing someone who becomes a great long-term team member.
💗 Local beauty communities
Attend industry events, classes, networking events and distributor education. Don't walk in trying to hire everyone—build relationships.
💗 Social media
And I don't mean another "NOW HIRING" graphic.
Show what it's actually like to work there.
Show education.
Show celebrations.
Show your culture.
Show growth opportunities.
Show your team succeeding.
And here's the part most owners miss...
Recruit when you DON'T have an opening.
Meet people.
Build relationships.
Keep a talent list.
Because desperation is a terrible recruiting strategy.
When someone quits on Friday, you shouldn't be starting from zero on Monday.
The strongest beauty businesses don't just hire.
They build a talent pipeline.

Over the last 23+ years in the beauty industry, I've realized something...
Beauty school taught us how to master our craft.
It didn't teach us how to build a profitable business.
No one taught us about profit. Leadership. Hiring. Systems. Or how to build a business that doesn't depend on us.
I've lived the long days, the burnout, the stress of carrying it all, and the feeling of wondering...
"Why does my business still feel so hard?"
That's exactly why I created the FREE Beauty Profit Activator.
For 4 hours, I'm sharing the business strategies I wish someone had taught me years ago—so you can stop working harder and start building a business that creates more profit, more freedom, and more peace of mind.
If you're a salon owner, med spa owner, PMU artist, lash studio owner, esthetician, or beauty business owner with a team...
I'd love to have you join me.

4,000!
To some people, that's just a number.
To me...
It's 4,000 beauty business owners who believe there's a better way to build a business.
A business that's profitable.
A business with systems.
A business with a healthy culture.
A business that creates freedom instead of burnout.
Every like, comment, message, and conversation reminds me why I started this mission.
Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey.
We're just getting started.
The next chapter is going to be even bigger.
If you've been here since the beginning... thank you.
If you're new here... welcome home.
Let's build beauty businesses that leave a legacy.

Being kind is a leadership strength.
Being "too nice" is a business liability.
There is a difference.
Every time you...
• Keep an employee who is hurting your culture... • Let a client ignore your cancellation policy... • Discount your services because you feel guilty... • Avoid raising your prices... • Say "yes" when you really mean "no".....your business pays the price.
The truth is...
Your team isn't looking for a best friend.
Your clients aren't looking for someone they can take advantage of.
They're looking for a leader.
Great leaders create clarity.
They hold people accountable.
They keep their word.
They protect the standards of the business.
Being nice may make people happy today.
But leadership builds a business that's still standing years from now.
👇 Which one has been the hardest for you?
1️⃣ Raising prices 2️⃣ Hard conversations 3️⃣ Letting someone go 4️⃣ Enforcing policies
One of the biggest mindset shifts I ever had was realizing this...
I didn't just want to own a beauty business.
I wanted to own an asset.
Ask yourself this:
If someone walked in tomorrow and offered to buy your salon or spa...
What would they actually be buying?
• A business with documented systems? • A trained team? • Predictable profits? • Loyal clients? • Strong leadership?
Or...
Would they be buying a business that only works because you are there every day making every decision?
That's not an asset.
That's a job with a lot more responsibility.
The goal isn't just to stay busy.
The goal is to build something that has value beyond you.
That's what creates freedom.
That's what creates wealth.
👇 Be honest...
If someone offered to buy your business tomorrow, would you sell it today?
Most beauty business owners think marketing starts online.
It doesn't.
Some of the best clients you'll ever get are already spending money in your community—they just don't know you exist.
Think beyond Instagram.
• Host a beauty brunch with local businesses. • Partner with photographers, boutiques, gyms, wedding vendors, med spas, and coffee shops. • Sponsor a charity event. • Offer mini consultations at community festivals. • Teach a free beauty class. • Join your Chamber of Commerce. • Donate gift baskets to local fundraisers. • Create a "passport" with neighboring businesses where customers visit multiple locations. • Celebrate teachers, nurses, first responders, or local heroes with appreciation events. • Become known for what you give—not just what you sell.
People buy from businesses they know.
They trust businesses they see.
And they remember businesses that make a difference.
Marketing isn't just about getting attention.
It's about becoming part of the community people already love.
👇 What's one creative way you've brought new people into your beauty business?
Remember why you started.
It probably wasn't because you dreamed of answering client messages at 10 PM.
Or covering every shift.
Or solving every problem.
Or feeling guilty every time you take a day off.
You started because you wanted freedom.
Freedom over your time.
Freedom over your income.
Freedom to be present with your family.
Freedom to build something that created options—not more exhaustion.
But somewhere along the way...
Many beauty business owners accidentally become the busiest employee in their own company.
The good news?
You don't need to work harder.
You need to build differently.
With better leadership.
Better systems.
Better numbers.
Better delegation.
Because the goal was never just to own a business.
The goal was to create a life you actually enjoy living.
👇 What's one thing keeping you from the freedom you wanted when you started?
Delegation isn't losing control.
It's creating freedom.
One of the biggest reasons beauty business owners stay exhausted isn't because they don't have enough help.
It's because they refuse to trust the help they already have.
Every time you answer the question... Fix the mistake... Take back the task... Or say, "I'll just do it myself..."
You're teaching your team that you'll always step in.
That doesn't build leaders.
It builds dependence.
A scalable business isn't built by hiring more people.
It's built by creating systems, setting expectations, and empowering others to own their role.
If your business stops every time you take a day off...
That's not commitment.
That's a bottleneck.
The goal isn't to make yourself indispensable.
The goal is to build a business that succeeds because of your leadership—not because of your constant presence.
