I hinted about a month ago that I had recently gotten into the TikTok Creator program…and I haven’t accomplished much with it because I’ve been super busy both personally and professionally.

Part of my long term goal is passive income, but I also started thinking about how can I give back to my Massage community in a meaningful way.

As someone whose practice is mainly rooted in ancient indigenous and BIPOC healing practices, I’m so happy to share I’ll be offering partial scholarships at this time to BIPOC students.

My long term goal is FULL scholarships quarterly, for now I have to start somewhere.

This is something that has laid heavily on my heart as I was initially inspired and touched by Laurel Skin and her BIPOC scholarship. I had no idea how to work the details out so I want to thank Barefoot Massage CE’s specifically for pioneering BIPOC scholarships through Deepfeet Bar Therapy and for his guidance in how I can implement it in my classroom too. 🥹

Goodbye, 42. 👋🏻🥲

This year I celebrated 18 years of marriage and 23 years of togetherness with the love of my life. ♥️ I watched my baby turn 11. 🥳🧁✨

42…you were the year that took my most favorite Aunt from me. 🥺 So much of who I am was because of my Aunt Laura. She was magic personified…and losing her was a loss our family will never recover from.

42…you took someone from me that I loved dearly and that if no one had held a mirror to my face I would have thought she was my flesh and blood. Grieving the living is a heartache no one warns you about…but I’m doing my best and healing little by little each day. ❤️‍🩹

42…we got to visit our most beloved town, Salem, MA for what I think is our 6th visit? 🤔

42…you marked a year of teaching for Barefoot Massage Education, and I’ve never been happier or felt more supported. 🥰

42…I got a VW GTI 🚗 💨 and she “corners like she’s on rails.” 😂 I think this is like our 11th VW in all the years we’ve been together…10/10 I highly recommend if you’re looking for a new chariot. 😉

42…we started renovating my childhood home and my husband is making all my witchy/moody vibes 🍄 🔮 🐝✨ come true.

42…you were bittersweet in so many ways. You taught me to appreciate the people who’ve stood by me in my lowest moments, to love fiercely, that sometimes you absolutely have to be confrontational because you can’t keep war inside of you to keep the peace for others, that the loss of relationships you valued doesn’t mean it was time wasted and that I’m worthy of reciprocal, authentic friendships.

And honestly 42…the last few months have been blissful, abundant and some of the happiest I can remember in ages. And I thank you for rounding out the year with so many sweet surprises. 🙏🏻

43…please be kind to me. 🫶🏻 I’m still reeling from 42. I look forward to new adventures, studying new techniques, leaning more into my astrological and magical practices and the new people and experiences you’ll bring into my life. 🥹

When you first start out as an LMT, a lot of people will doubt you. You’ll think your family and friends will be your biggest supporters and some totally are, but there will be people who will come to you as strangers and they will become your family. 🙏🏻

Wallace was my first ever regular client when I started out as a Massage Therapist. She’s watched me grow up through 3 decades of my life. She was my biggest cheerleader 📣 when I said I wanted to study barefoot massage, when everyone thought I was crazy 😜 she believed in me. She encouraged me to study Ayurveda, crystal healing, Lomi Lomi, to start my own business and to attend Esthetic’s school.

Wallace moved away 10 years ago but she is literally a cornerstone in my business, a dear friend and confidant and I would not be the Massage Therapist, Esthetician or woman I am today without her. 🥲🫶🏻

Feels fitting for the week I turn 43. 🥳
