UltraClear healing update
This is my third UltraClear laser treatment in two years. Every time the settings have been different, but one thing stays consistent: the healing is very predictable.
This round I went milder. The recovery timeline was still essentially the same.
What I tell patients:
• The first 24 hours are the hardest (looks + feels)
• Big improvement usually happens between days 2–3 on milder treatments (a day or two later with more aggressive settings)
• Plan for 3–5 days of social/work downtime
My day-by-day:
Day 1 → Very swollen, red, dry, and tight

Days 2–3 → Swelling drops fast, peeling begins

End of Day 3 → First peel mostly done. Skin is pink and a little dry — tinted sunscreen covers it well

Days 4–7 → Mild residual peeling. By day 7 peeling stopped and skin quality already looked really good
The biggest difference between mild and advanced settings is how long the redness/pinkness lasts. With very advanced settings it can stay pink for up to 6 weeks — still easily covered with tinted SPF or makeup.
I love this laser for so many reasons: excellent results, predictable recovery, and the ability to fully customize settings to each patient’s skin type and goals.
