We’re excited to announce that Village Crossing’s Merry Market is back for 2026 — and this year, it’s going to be bigger and merrier than ever!
We’re partnering with our Worman’s Mill neighbors to bring even more holiday fun to the community. We’re also thrilled to welcome the WISH Women’s Group, who will be hosting their Festive Firs Auction benefiting local nonprofits. ❤️
We’re looking for local vendors, artisans, makers, and small businesses to join us for this festive afternoon!

October Morning Meeting 🧡
Martina Duncan’s recent presentation to WISH was such a powerful reminder of the importance of human connection, compassion, and truly seeing the dignity in every person we encounter.

Drawing from her experience living in a van for three years in support of those experiencing homelessness, along with the message of her book, The Unforgotten Community, Martina challenged us to look beyond assumptions and connect with people whose stories are often overlooked.

Her message was simple but powerful: homelessness isn’t just a social issue—it’s a deeply human one. Every person has a story, and every person deserves to be seen, heard, and valued.

Our WISH members left inspired to reflect on how small acts of kindness and genuine connection can make a lasting difference.

Thank you, Martina, for sharing your heart, your experiences, and your beautiful reminder that no one should ever be forgotten. 💕 Together, we can continue building a community rooted in compassion, understanding, and truly seeing one another.

🎨💳 Our Spotlight Presentation featured Stacy Allgood Smith, who shared helpful money tips and a creative piece of art made from cut-up credit cards—a powerful visual reminder of the importance of being mindful of credit card debt and making healthy financial choices.

September at WISH was a good one! 💗

We were inspired by Tawanda Bailey, a true powerhouse who has dedicated decades to serving, leading, mentoring, and advocating for women and girls in our community.

Our Spotlight also shined on LaTisha Boyd Potts aka “The Group Lady” who is always empowering people and bringing women together. 💕

Two powerhouse women doing BIG things — and a perfect reminder of what WISH is all about: Women Inspiring, Supporting & Helping.

We’re not just talking about it…we’re living it! ✨

What a wonderful morning! 💙 A huge thank you to WLR for hosting WISH today. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, meaningful connections, a behind-the-scenes tour, and even a complimentary car wash for everyone! 🚗

What a fun pop-up WISH event at the Spinsters film screening at the Weinberg! 🎬

While the story isn’t about Frederick, it was such a treat to see our beautiful city woven throughout the film. Written by local filmmaker Sasha Carrera, Spinsters has earned multiple awards, including the Audience Choice Award—a well-deserved recognition for a truly engaging film.

We’re always grateful for opportunities to support local talent and celebrate the vibrant arts in our community.

We enjoyed hearing from Donna Batcheller Paulman during our Member Spotlight, where she shared valuable insights on health and wellness.
Our featured presenter, Leslie Schultz from SOAR, highlighted the incredible work being done to connect qualifying seniors with financial resources and services that help them live healthier, safer, and more comfortable lives.

One thing that always stands out about this group is the genuine spirit of support and service. Being surrounded by people who are committed to helping others makes every gathering meaningful—and that feels really good.✨
