Mad Rabbit Style is the page of stylist Meghan Edge I didn't tell the girl in the chair until she was half-way through the cut, lest she decide to stop.
After a vicious break-up, I called in sick to work so I could wander the streets of my hometown (Philadelphia) and ugly-cry as I snapped good-bye pics. For years I'd allowed someone else to dictate my opinion on my beauty and my self-confidence was shot because, in the end, we broke up anyway. Passing by a tiny little salon that was located in a basement on South Street, I decided to chop off my l
ong curly hair. Then I told her everything about the break-up. I remember she listened to me, but at the same time, she made me feel like I would be okay better than anyone I'd been talking to- any of my friends, any of my family. She took the time to listen to what I wanted done with my hair and then listened as I told her all about the crap way my relationship had ended. At the end of the appointment, she wished me the best of luck on my new adventures and I left feeling super fierce. Even my ex (who I had the unfortunate task of living with for two weeks while I packed up all my things to move back to Maryland) commented on the stunning job the stylist had done with my hair. I had a new calling. I knew in that moment that I wanted to be the person who made other people's lives better through hair and make-up. I knew I needed to go back to school and get my license so that I, too, could tell everyone in the world just how wonderful they are (because guys, you really, really are). This is my cosmetology journey. This is Kitsch N' Hair.
