☀️ Chemical vs. Mineral Sunscreen… What’s the difference?
Both help protect your skin from the sun, but they work very differently.
🧴 Mineral sunscreen sits on top of the skin and reflects UV rays away from your skin. It starts working immediately after application, doesn’t need to be absorbed into your skin to work, and because it stays on the surface, it isn’t absorbed into your bloodstream.
🧴 Chemical sunscreen absorbs UV rays and converts that energy into heat, which can trigger inflammation which could lead to more hyperpigmentation. For me, mineral sunscreen is my go-to recommendation, especially for sensitive skin or anyone investing in professional skincare treatments. It’s one of the easiest ways to help protect your skin and preserve your results.
