Handtied extension and lived in color specialist located in suite 124 at Mattison Avenue Salon Suites

I spend an hour+ on each row, you spend 6-8 weeks with it.

I always aim to perfect and refine my own work, and the growout will help me see where we have blind spots.

Healthy hair comes from a thoughtful, detail oriented install, and proper home care. With both working in harmony, your hair will thrive with extensions 🫶🏼

Part 2 of the wefts I work with: Microwefts

Aka genius wefts/flat wefts/jtied wefts/flex wefts etc

I personally feel they have more cons than pros, BUT they’re great if you work out a lot or if you wear your hair mainly wavy/curly

Pros:
•don’t have to be blow dried
•no return mustache hair
•very flat
•more grams per weft
•easily cut

Cons:
•very slippery
•the seam does not color
•seam is polyurethane/plastic/mystery material on your scalp
•lots of friction to your natural hair
•can fall apart over time
•prone to buckling/rippling/flipping
•don’t look seamless
•you can be allergic to them, causing itching, redness, and even sores/discomfort

Have you tried them? Do you prefer them? Let me know below!

I work with two types of wefts, and I’m staring by talking about my favorite.

Handtied wefts.

They’re the OG. Handtied is a weft type-not all sew in extensions are handtied hair.

Pros:
•seamless and invisible because the seam can be fully custom colored
•lightweight and flexible
•less prone to buckling and corner flips
•added volume at the root
•they look fist biting good

“Cons”:
•some people don’t know how to properly cut them
•sensitive scalps may find them itchy, mainly if they’re placed incorrectly
•prone to swelling and fraying if not cared for properly and/or compression is wrong
•should be dried

Not everyone wants to do shell day alone. Sometimes shell day is best with your hairstylist.

You can’t beat the attention to detail, conversation, and meal together

Luna highlights:
•no end beads
•4-7 points of contact per row
•concealed beads
•bio mechanically sound rows
•physics based placement
•ultimate customization
•lightweight and flexible
•developed to protect your scalp and hair
•no pain-ever.

Ready for your shell day? Send me a dm-I’m taking a limited amount of discounted new handtied extension installs for the Luna Method in Fort Worth.

A soft, blended, lived in bronde for fall 🍁

I utilized babylights and teasylights to connect her grown out balayage, and a tipout to brighten any ends left out. She did not want a bold face frame, so we kept her super soft in the front, while still looking brighter to the root
