Sunday’s have become a stroller run with the boys while dad tackles his trail run. Over the last month here are my tips from this new weekly routine:

1. Buy the lightweight variation, especially if you are buying a double.

2. Stroller fans with a long charge are a must have in Texas.

3. Save the stroller for your less important (based on your plan/opinion) runs. Embrace the slower speed, the multiple pauses and the cheers you get from others.

4. Alternate between one hand push, two hand push and if you have a safety strap use it and let your upper body relax for a few seconds.

5. LOCK the front wheel if able. Definitely makes the stroller glide more efficiently!

6. Don’t let the cries deter you. If you have done your mommy checklist (clean diaper, fed, entertainment) know that the kiddos are fine and they will make it through the next 30+ minutes.

7. Hype up the toddler about how fun it is to take the stroller run together. Plan a park pit stop-mid run or after. Play music for all the hear. Have a convo!

8. Enjoy the bonding time and getting your littles out for some vitamin D!

Fitness isn’t built on workout days alone.

The miles matter but so does your sleep, nutrition, stress levels, strength work, and recovery. Don’t overlook the habits that support every run.

The goal isn’t just to run more.
It’s to keep running.

That first run back after an injury feels a little like a dream.

The laces.
The nerves.
The first few steps.
The moment you realize…you’re running again.

There’s nothing quite like it.

July running is less about chasing pace and more about training smart.

The heat changes the workout not your fitness. Give yourself permission to slow down, stay hydrated, and prioritize recovery. Your fall self will thank you.

You’ve probably hear it before
“Running is bad for your knees.”

The research says otherwise.

Most running injuries come from training errors, not running itself. Thanks for laughing along with our take on this common PT myth!
