ASIS Massage Education

Palpation is one of the most essential skills in massage therapy — and one of the easiest to oversimplify.
Firmness, tenderness, or “tightness” can mean many different things, and skilled therapists learn to observe first, interpret second, and let movement, pressure, and client feedback guide the story.

Your hands are always collecting information. The real skill is learning how to listen.

Massage school isn’t all zen rooms and relaxing music — sometimes it’s anatomy flashcards, lotion everywhere, and wondering if your hands will ever stop being tired.
But graduation day? That’s the moment it all clicks.

Proud of these two and every student who’s pushed through the journey with humor, heart, and a whole lot of practice.

A career spent helping others ✨

Take a walk with us through our Flagstaff campus ✨

Our campus is right in the heart of downtown near the Orpheum theater, the Toasted Owl, Dark Sky Brewing, Mike & Ronda's and many more local gems!

Can you feel it?! Fall is coming! It's still 100+ but we know this too shall pass!

With that being said, autumn is a time of change, and it often pulls at our hearts and allows us to take a look at our lives and how we have been living. Are we just on autopilot trying to get through? Are we living with intention?

With the last quarter of 2026 approaching, it is the perfect time to lean into the shift.
If you've been called to a career in massage and bodywork, then come tour our Mesa or Flagstaff campus.

Talk to someone to see if this is the change that is right for you. Call (602) 831-2320 to talk to a real human who can help you navigate a new path.

Being able to experiment and try new things is one of the best parts of massage school! Cupping is just one of many modalities our students learn.

Have you ever used cupping in your massage practice? Have you ever received it? Let us know in the comments!
