Had the best weekend hosting Puppy Yoga for friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control at Mint Hair Crafting.

This event we donated $1875 from ticket sales and collectively, we have raised over $5500 with our puppy yoga classes. These funds support spay and neuter efforts and heartworm treatment as well as adoption and foster resources for the adoptable shelter dogs of the City of Detroit. 🫶
Our final class of the weekend was a special, Senior Dog session, where Dimitri (age 4) and Arnie (age 11), two very good older dogs, came and enjoyed love and and a quieter, more zen yoga flow. The senior session was very tender hearted and so special. Proof that all sorts of incredible dogs end up at shelters and need adoption. 🫶🫶
We look forward to hosting another event later this year and can’t wait to see the impact we can make in our community through our partnership.

We had the best weekend of Puppy Yoga at Mint Hair Crafting. Raising over $1875 with ticket sales donated directly to Friends of Detroit Animal Care and Control. In total, we’ve raised and donated over $5500 to FODACC in support of spay/neuter and heartworm treatment for shelter dogs.
Thank you to all of our guests who attended and shared our event! We can’t wait to share the next date soon!!

Thanks to the incredible team at Mint Hair Crafting, we raised almost $2,000 (plus numerous donations!) during last Sunday’s special Puppy Yoga classes — all to support our mission.
We are so thankful to all the yogis who showed up for Detroit’s shelter pets in such a joyful way.

Thank you all so much for your support.
Unfortunately, in the era of social media, scam accounts sometimes appear in comment threads claiming they are selling tickets because they can no longer attend. This is not true for our event.
Tickets are not transferable or being resold, and any such comments are scams. We will actively monitor the comments to protect our guests and the integrity of this volunteer-led shelter dog and puppy yoga experience.

Hosting yoga the last few years in celebration for my birthday always brings me happiness, joy and hope - winter in Detroit is hard, especially for animal welfare.

Join us Sunday, March 1, 2026 for an afternoon of adorable, adoptable dogs with our third year of Puppy Yoga in benefit of !
This year we’re bringing three different class times with a special 1:30pm session with an older dog (forever puppy, right?!) that is seeking a home. Our hope is to share awareness and amplify the dopamine experience of loving on an older, possibly senior dog. 🫶❤️

November - a month of gratitude.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring the Melt Headspa to life at Mint Hair Crafting. Today I took care of a childhood friend in the morning who is also a longtime MHC guest and closed my day with a former co worker, who I worked with at Texas Roadhouse (iykyk) while I was in cosmetology school. ❤️❤️
It’s so deeply rewarding to connect with friends, longtime guests and all of the new, wonderful people who’ve entered into MHC through this journey.
Creating a space where people can deeply relax and feel cared for means the world to me. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for letting me be a part of your self-care journey—it’s an honor to take care of each of you and build Melt Headspa into the oasis it is.

The choice in working with Mark was simple after seeing the impeccable work he created for our neighbors along Hilton.
Balancing the aesthetics of a former industrial neighborhood and workshop into a warm, inviting and approachable salon space is important - we want our guests to feel comfortable, seen and appreciated every time.
Thanks for joining us in our new space on Hilton in Ferndale. We’re an ongoing work in progress but we’re stoked to share it all with you. ☺️❤️
