What happens when a decade of experience becomes the foundation for the next generation of Beauty Leaders? 🐝

For nearly ten years, Metro Detroit’s Beauty HQ ⚡️ has been more than a place for beauty services. We’ve created a safe space where women feel seen, supported, empowered and confident.

Now, through Bee’s Beauty Academy ™️ we’re taking everything we’ve learned about building a successful beauty business and pouring it into the women preparing to build their own legacies.

Two of our BBA students have been immersed in our Owner Operator Training Program, gaining hands on experience in business finances, daily operations, marketing, client retention, advanced skill development, leadership and the business of creating exceptional client experiences.

Our mission has never been just to teach beauty techniques. It’s to develop women who can lead, build sustainable businesses, and create meaningful impact in their communities.

Hearing our clients share what Bee’s Beauty has meant to them over the years is a beautiful reminder of WHY this work matters. 🥹

Accountability is a necessary part of building something that truly serves people well. 🪴

I’m honored to sit on the advisory boards of two incredible cosmetology schools and use my experience as an Employer, Spa Owner and Educator to help shape the future of beauty education.

During my recent meeting at Dorsey School of Beauty, I toured the campus, learned more about their programs and performance, and shared honest feedback about what today’s beauty industry needs from emerging licensed professionals.

These conversations help ensure that students are not only prepared to pass their exams, but also equipped to serve clients, meet employer expectations and build successful careers.

It is a privilege to have a seat at the table and help strengthen the bridge between education and the real beauty industry. The future of beauty is being shaped right now, and I’m grateful to be a part of it. 🌟

Exposure changes everything! 🪴

One thing I’m intentional about with Bee's Beauty Academy is making sure my students don’t just hear about what’s possible in the beauty industry. I want them to SEE it, experience it and have access to the people who are actually doing it.

Our field trip gave our students the opportunity to step inside two incredible beauty businesses and learn directly from the women who built it.

What started as a career in beauty has grown into an opportunity to educate, expose and empower the next generation! 🪴

This summer, I had the opportunity to bring beauty entrepreneurship to the campus of Wayne State University, giving high school students hands on exposure to the cosmetology industry, branding and product development.Thirteen years into my journey, I’m still in awe of the doors God continues to open and how beautifully aligns my gifts with my purpose. 🙌🏽

A special thank you to WSU C2 Pipeline for the opportunity to pour into and teach your students, and to GDYT for trusting me to create a meaningful work experience for your youth, including having my own daughters working alongside me this summer. 🤩
