I am a graduate of Paul Mitchell the School Fayetteville. The culture at Paul Mitchell is to give back and it truly has inspired me to always give back to my local Community. I am also a Certified Redken Specialist, as well as a Local member of the Look Good Feel Better Program designed to help cancer patients feel better about themselves while undergoing treatment. I have worked in salons where I have always had a chance to volunteer and get people excited of doing so. In my years of being a Hairstylist, I have organized groups to donate their time and money to The Cancer Center of Cape Fear Valley, The local Chapter of Look Good Feel Better, The Wounded Warrior Project, The Fisher House, Falcon's Children Home, The March of Dimes, Children's Advocacy, Locks of Love, The Salvation Army, Arms of Refuge and many more local benefits and charities. I have donated over 50 free gift certificates for haircuts to be raffled off this year to benefit local families not including providing free haircuts to military spouses when time permits. I founded this group to UNITE! I want to bring together ALL Hairstylists in our community to do LOCAL charity events throughout the year by providing free haircuts and services to the needy. Not just the salon I work in, but every salon. However, I want to incorporate EVERY person who would like to volunteer with us, not just Hairstylists. Look out for us in 2013 because we will be doing Amazing Things in Fayetteville and surrounding areas. NOTE: We will be meeting once a month. If you have an event that you need our help with, please send an email 30 days prior and it will be addressed at our monthly meeting. I would like to say Thank you to my wonderful children, Ryan and Savannah for inspiring me EVERY single day to be a better mother, daughter, sister and person. That is the meaning of the number 2 in our name. The heart signifies having one heart. What is your heart passionate for? The culture of giving back shines bright in these schools! Tova, Bart, Shelley and the whole family will always have a special place in my heart. You inspire me!
