Firewood stacked?
Fall cleanup done?
Back absolutely wrecked?

Don’t forget to get yourself ready for winter, too. I’ve got you boo 👻

If you know me, you know I’m always doing something new. I swear I can never just sit still, or my mind can’t.… there’s always another idea, another project, or another “okay, I have a vision” and then my husband, mom & dad roll their eyes.

This one is my favorite yet.

The Hideaway is happening.

Instead of waiting until everything is finished and perfect to share it, I want to bring you guys along from the very beginning! So many of you have supported my little business through every stage of it.

The plan is to create a small, private wellness cabin where I can offer massage, skincare, and a space that truly feels like an escape.

Think quiet. Woodsy. Warm. Cozy. A little luxurious. Tucked away from the everyday craziness.

It is VERY much still in the beginning stages. There will be land work, a building, insulation, walls, electrical, flooring, decorating, landscaping… basically the whole thing.

So instead of disappearing and coming back with a finished Hideaway, I’m going to share it all. The plans, the decisions, the DIY projects, the things that go wrong, the things that change, and eventually… the finished space.

I may even need your help choosing some things along the way.

My goal is to create a place that feels special from the second you arrive, and since you are the reason I get to do what I love, it only feels right that you get to watch it come to life too.

So here we go.

Day 1 of creating The Hideaway. 🌲🤎

I am incredibly honored and grateful to have been nominated and made it to the finals for Best Massage Therapy in the Greater Franklin County Readers’ Choice!

I graduated massage therapy school just 3 months ago, so to already be recognized by my community means more to me than I can put into words.

Thank you to every client, friend, family member, and supporter who nominated me, booked with me, recommended me, and supported this new chapter.

Making it to the finals this early in my career is something I’m incredibly proud of. Thank you for believing in me and my business!

Well… today definitely wasn’t on our bingo card.

Around 3:00 PM, the fire department was called to our shop to investigate a strange smell in the building. What they discovered was something none of us ever expected.

This morning around 5:00 AM, I took a load of freshly dried massage sheets out of my dryer at home, in Industry and left them in my car before heading to work. I had clients from 10:30 AM–1:30 PM, and after my last appointment I grabbed the clean linens from my car. I noticed my car smelled a little odd, but honestly… I have two kids, so I didn’t think much of it. 😅

I mentioned the smell to Chelse, dumped the clean sheets onto my massage table to fold later, we chatted for a bit, and then I left for cheer camp.

Not long after, Chelse called me with words I never thought I’d hear…

My sheets had caught on fire.

I’ve heard of towels or linens overheating when they’re left in a pile straight from the dryer, but these had been out of the dryer for nearly 10 hours. From what we were told, the heat inside my car likely caused a chemical reaction, and once I spread the sheets out on the table, the added oxygen allowed them to ignite.

I’m incredibly grateful Chelse noticed something wasn’t right and acted so quickly. A huge thank you to our local fire department for responding so fast and making sure everyone was safe. Things could have turned out very differently.

Needless to say, if you have an appointment with one of us tomorrow, you may notice a bit of a lingering smell while we continue airing everything out. Thank you for your patience and understanding, we’re just thankful everyone is safe!
