šŸ™Œ A vision reminds us that what we’re building is bigger than what we can see today.
It gives us something to move toward, shaping how we care for people, how we support our artists, and the kind of industry we hope to help create.
Our vision is the future we believe is possible.
And every day, we get to become a little more of it.Ā šŸ‘šŸ‘

I feel honored to work along side other humans that share such a powerful vision.

A mission gives us something to return to.
It reminds us why we’re here, what we’re building, and how we want people to feel when they walk through our doors.
Our mission helps us work unified as a team, a family.
For Zion, it has never been just about what we do.
It’s about how we do it, why we do it, and who we choose to be while we’re doing it.
This is our mission.

We care about the world and want to leave it just a little better than we found it yesterday.
Changing the world can feel enormous. But maybe it was never meant to begin ā€œout there.ā€
Maybe it begins with what’s right in front of us.
How we care for ourselves.
How we treat the person across from us.
How we speak when we’re frustrated.
How we listen when we don’t agree.
How we repair when we get it wrong.
How present we are for the people we love.
For us, tending our own garden means taking responsibility for the love, healing, honesty, and humanity we bring into the spaces we occupy.
That includes our work. We care about the world and want to leave it just a little better than we found it yesterday.
We believe a healthier artist creates a healthier experience. A person who feels safe can carry that safety into another room. One authentic conversation can change a relationship. One act of kindness can travel further than we’ll ever get to see.
So no, we don’t believe we’re going to change the world from inside a tattoo & piercing studio.
But we do believe in tending our little corner of it really, really well.
One regulated nervous system.
One act of kindness.
One healed heart.
One authentic conversation.
One courageous human at a time.
And then we trust the ripple. šŸ¤
This is our WHY. This is Zion 5 years of becoming

So why fuss with values in a tattoo shop? Why not just make cool art, do our own thing, and call it a day?
Honestly, we could. And we’d probably do just fine. Many do!
But we’re tattooers, piercers, artists…and beautifully messy humans.
We each have our own way of doing things, which is exactly why having shared values, intention, and direction matters to us.
Because what we do matters, so does how we do it.
We want you to feel that special something when you walk into Zion, no matter who you’re working with.
That doesn’t mean we all have to be the same. Quite the opposite. We’re wildly different in our personalities, perspectives, and creative work. But underneath all of that is a shared undercurrent.
Love. Authenticity. A commitment to creating a safe and loving space for all who enter.
It gives us unity without asking us to be the same….and something steady to return to when our messy humanity inevitably shows up.
Because where intention goes, energy flows. ✨
Five years in, we’re still learning, still growing, still becoming.

We aren’t simply a tattoo and piercing studio. We’re cultivating an atmosphere.

One where people feel safe. Seen. Cared for.

Where the experience matters just as much as the art.

From the way we welcome you, to the way we listen, to the intention we bring into our work….we believe the little things matter.

Because people may come to Zion for a tattoo or piercing…
but our hope is that they leave having experienced something more.

OUR FAITH SHAPES HOW WE LOVE, NOT WHO WE LOVE.
We use the word love a lot around here.
And maybe that feels a little strange for a tattoo and piercing studio. Maybe even unnecessary.
But we don’t think love should be separated from business.
At its core, love is one of our most basic human needs to be seen, valued, cared for, and treated like we matter. And every person who walks through our doors carries that need in some form.
We don’t care if this is your first tattoo or you’ve been tattooed all over the world. If you’re 18 or 80. If you look like us, believe like us, live like us or don’t.
Underneath all of it, we’re human.
And we believe the world could use a whole lot more people choosing to show up for one another with love. Especially right now!
Does that mean we get it right every time? Absolutely not. šŸ˜‚ We’re humans attempting to love other humans, and as it turns out, humans can be… well…a pain in the ass.
Around here we sometimes joke:
ā€œJesus loves you. And I’m trying.ā€ šŸ˜‚
But underneath the laugh is something we take seriously.
We really are trying.
To meet the person in front of us with compassion. To listen before assuming. To honor people’s stories. To repair when we miss it. And to keep choosing love…even when loving isn’t easy.
Because to us, love isn’t just something you feel.
It’s something you practice.
We’re going to show you more of what practicing love actually looks like inside a tattoo and piercing studio.

In a world that keeps asking you to earn your worth, perform, shrink to fit… Here, you’re already enough. You are seen, known, and loved exactly as you are, no earning required. Come as you are and let this be a place you can exhale. ā¤ļø

When the name Zion came to us, I honestly didn’t know what it meant.
I didn’t choose it because I had studied its biblical significance or because I was searching for a meaningful business name. The name simply came with a clarity I couldn’t ignore.
Zion has ancient roots. The Hebrew word Tsiyon (צ֓יּוֹן) originally described a fortified place a refuge. Throughout Scripture, Zion became known as the City of God, representing His presence, peace, belonging, hope, and the promise that no matter where life has taken you, there is always a way home.
ā€œThe Lord has established Zion, and in her his afflicted people will find refuge.ā€
—Isaiah 14:32
The more I understood the name, the more I realized: this wasn’t simply what our business would be called. It was who we were being invited to become.
Not just a place to get tattooed or pierced, but a place where people can exhale. Where stories are honored. Where employees, artists, and clients alike are reminded of who they are. A place to encounter love and belonging.
We do our best to choose love and faith over fear. Presence over performance. Curiosity over judgment. Not perfectly, but intentionally.
And you don’t have to share our faith to belong here.
You don’t have to believe what we believe to be welcomed, loved, and cared for. Faith isn’t a measurement of character here, and it isn’t something we bring into your experience unless YOU choose to.
But it is the water that runs through Zion, and we no longer want to keep that quiet out of fear of offending someone.
For a long time, we hesitated to share this part of our story because we never wanted anyone to wonder if there was an agenda behind our care.
There isn’t.
We’re not here to convince you of anything. There are no boxes you have to check to belong.
Our faith shapes how we love, not who we love.

People often ask us why we chose the name Zion.
The truth is... I don’t believe we chose it.
I believe the name chose us.
For more than a decade, Zion lived quietly in my heart as a vision. I knew I was being called to create something different, a space where people could feel safe, seen, and honored. I just didn’t know what it would be called or when it would come to life.Ā
Then, after the stillness that followed quarantine 2020, something shifted.
Our family had slowed down. We played, created, connected, and ate way too much food. But it was in the quiet that Zion began to stir a little louder in my heart.
One day we were driving when, out of nowhere...
BOOM.
The word ZION came through almost like thunder.
The moment it landed, I knew.
Not just that it was the name.
That it was time.
And then…because God has a beautiful sense of humor…we immediately saw cherries flashing in the rearview mirror as we got pulled over (expired tabs, oppsie.)
One of those moments that says, ā€œHey...Pay attention, that was important!ā€
He gave us a name that carried weight, promise, and presence.
In Scripture, Zion isn’t simply a place on a map. It represents God’s dwelling place, a place of refuge, peace, belonging, and His presence among His people.
As we’ve grown, we’ve realized that wasn’t just meant to be our name.
It was meant to be our assignment.
We aren’t simply a tattoo and piercing studio.

We’re cultivating an atmosphere.
A place where people can exhale.Ā
Where stories are honored.Ā
Where artistry is held with reverence.Ā
Where people are free to become more fully themselves.Ā
Whether someone shares our faith or not, our hope is that every person who walks through our doors experiences what the name has always meant to us: safety, belonging, peace, and love.
I’d love to know...
Have you ever had one of those moments where something seemed too perfectly timed to perfectly? Drop a ā±ļø if you’ve ever experienced something like that!
Welcome to Zion. 5 years of becoming ā¤ļø- All the love

People often tell us, ā€œThis place feels different.ā€ ā¤ļø
We believe that’s because a space can never offer what the people within it aren’t living.
Behind every tattoo, every piercing, every warm welcome at the front desk, and every conversation is a team of humans committed to something deeper than beautiful art.
We’re committed to creating a place where people can exhale.
Where you’re welcomed exactly as you are.
Where your story is honored.
Where you never have to earn your belonging.
We spend just as much time caring for the people behind the craft as we do mastering the craft itself. Because healthy, supported artists create experiences that help others feel safe, seen, and respected.
This team is the heart behind Zion. Every one of them brings their own gifts, kindness, and intentionality into this space, and together they’ve helped create something we’re deeply grateful for.
If Zion has ever felt different to you, it’s because of them.
✨To our team, thank you for choosing love, presence, and excellence every single day. You are the heartbeat of this place. šŸ™ā¤ļøšŸ™
