When doing my bride Sarah’s bridal preview, everything was going well—skin, brows, lashes, everything blended and soft.
She agreed that she liked it but that something was missing but she couldn’t tell me what.
So, when the wedding day came, we talked about it and she told me what it was that would make her feel like herself. On days she does go out, she uses liner for a wing.

That was it. That was the missing piece.

I added it—nothing dramatic, just a line that matched how she already sees herself in the mirror every day. Once she saw the completed look, she knew she wasn’t looking at “bridal makeup” anymore. She was looking at herself, just a little more done.

When I have a bride in my chair and we start talking about lips, I can see the hesitation in their face.

Most brides think they need to be a lipstick wearer when it comes to their wedding day lip color for their wedding day but that’s simply not true.
When you’re in my chair, after skin prep, I put a hydrating balm on your lips. That way I see your natural color come through while I’m doing the rest of your makeup.
When it’s time, I remove whatever is left that your lips absorbed.
I choose a liner that is matches your own lip color, so I’m just tracing what’s already there, a little more defined. Then 99% of the time, I’m using tinted lip serum matched close to you—not a color, a finish.
What you end up with isn’t lipstick. It’s your lips, just a little more done. Enough to hold up in every photo, without ever feeling like something’s on your mouth.

Here’s what people don’t know—your lips need prep too, just like your skin. The night before your wedding day, when you exfoliate your face, you can exfoliate your lips as well! When you are finished, moisturizing with a lip mask will help wonders!
