We are in “slow September.” September is always one of the slowest months in the beauty industry. It gives us time to rest, renew ourselves as service providers, and learn new skills. If I am honest, for me- it is also a time of doubt. Am I enough? Doing enough?…
This morning a client came in for her scheduled appointment. She said she didn’t want her service but just needed to talk to me- because she trusted me. She asked me to pray for her. She paid for her appointment time and left.
Sometimes our work feels very routine. Sometimes it feels vain. Sometimes, I doubt.
But today- I was reminded how our work is important. We do make a difference in others lives. It’s not just about making others feel pretty. It’s about letting people be their full, vulnerable self in front of us and holding that for them. It’s about being a person of trust and kindness. The pretty always comes from the inside. ❤️

Slow day in the studio means- education! I am working on a new certification and you will have new service offerings! (I’m going to need some models to practice on once my products arrive!)😉
