Yesterday was a beautiful day to visit the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival! ☀️🍂

Our team took full advantage of the sunshine and all the delicious food Franklin Street has to offer. BBQ pork parfaits, peach cobbler, pig shots, gourmet grilled cheese, dirty sodas… you name it, we probably tried it. Just check out that turkey leg!

It was a great day at the 77th Annual Indiana School Boards Association / IAPSS - Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents Fall Conference!

We enjoyed connecting with school board members and district leaders from across Indiana and hearing what matters most to their schools, students and communities.

And we started the day bright and early! Hafer Principal + Architect Jennifer Kissel, AIA, Mechanical Engineer Henry Steckler, PE, and MSD of North Posey Superintendent Todd Slagle kicked off the morning sessions with “You Don’t Need More Space” — sharing how districts can rethink the space they already have and make it work harder without jumping straight to major construction.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth, tested their knowledge with a little “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?”, joined the conversation and/or caught our session!

Congratulations to our Marketing team! Yesterday, they were awarded at the SMPS Heartland Regional Conference Pinnacle Awards for their work on Hafer's annual Employee Appreciation Week. Always an employee favorite, the week was filled with fun, food and, most importantly, some well-deserved appreciation. The award-winning celebration was extra spy-cial. The espionage theme, complete with a week-long virtual mission, was a huge hit with our team.

We’re proud to see the creativity and hard work behind this special week recognized, especially for an event centered around our people!

Consider it Southern Illinois University Carbondale's new “front porch.”

The Tedrick Welcome Center is home to the SIU Foundation, a starting point for campus tours and a place for prospective students, alumni, donors and the campus community to come together.

And it makes a first impression. A sweeping curved glass wall and colonnade welcome visitors in, opening to bright, flexible spaces for campus tours, alumni and fundraising events, celebrations and other campus activities. And we can’t forget that Saluki pride. SIU branding woven throughout celebrates the spirit and personality of the university.

This project was in partnership with Design Works who served as Design Architect.

Good food, fun games and even better company make for a great evening!

Our team spent Friday evening at Plaid & Timber Axe Throwing Company, enjoying Bauerhaus Catering & Pastry before putting our axe-throwing skills to the test. While we may not all be expert lumberjacks, we had plenty of fun giving it our best shot!
