Today, I have officially realized I am not only raising a toddler but I have some how become one.
Reasons:
The need for a nap: after traveling most of the morning, unloading the car, putting a batch of clothes washing, I want to couch rot.
5 mins later: âmom, Iâm hungryâ đđ
The snack obsession: âmom, can I have a candy?â âMom, can I have a snack?â When I open the snack or candy I either take one or have myself a bite. (You want candy/snack, so do I)
The big feelings: A minor inconvenience, like realizing we are out of milk when he wanted cereal for breakfast. Made me want to throw myself on the floor and scream.
If you need me, donât đ¤Ł
Motherhood is loud. It is overwhelming. And honestly? Some moments feel completely suffocating.
But then, the chaos quietens for a second. The sick one curls into your lap, suddenly looking so small again. The toddler wraps their sticky fingers around your neck. And in the middle of the mess, you realize you are their entire world. Their safe harbor.
If you are in the trenches today, please remember:
Survival mode is an act of love. If the TV stays on all day so you can catch your breath, you are a good mom. Screen time rules don't apply on sick days.
Your feelings are completely valid. It is entirely possible to love your children fiercely and still desperately need a break from them. You are not a bad mom for feeling overwhelmed.
Lower the bar. If everyone is fed, loved, and breathing at bedtime, you absolutely won the day.
Your mental health matters just as much as their physical health. You cannot pour from an empty cup, even if that cup is currently filled with reheated coffee.
Take a deep breath, mama. You are doing a beautiful job at a deeply exhausting task.
We will get through this week. Together.
Sending a massive hug to everyone in the thick of it today. What is keeping you grounded right now?
To the mama reading this who feels like her mind is moving a million miles an hour: take a deep breath and just start walking.
Sometimes getting your steps in isn't about fitness, hitting a goal on your watch, or checking off a box. Itâs about survival.
Itâs about trading the overwhelming noise of the house, the endless laundry, and the mental load of motherhood for the quiet rhythm of your sneakers hitting the road.
With every step, let a little bit of that tension go. Look up at the trees, feel the sun on your face, and let the fresh air do what it does bestâclear out the clutter and bring you back to yourself.
You spend all day pouring into everyone else, but this walk? This is for you.
Your body needs the movement, but your soul needs the peace.Keep stepping, mama. One foot in front of the other, you're doing a beautiful job. đ¤
That 60-second microwave timer isnât a countdown for reheated pizza.
Itâs a VIP mental health retreat for parents.
The next time you press start, do not use that minute to wipe down the counter you just wiped down. Do not use it to pick up the stray Lego you just stepped on.
Instead, claim your 60 seconds of absolute kitchen zen:
Assume the position: Lean heavily against the counter like a weary traveler who has seen too much.
The "Do Not Disturb" stare: Lock eyes with the spinning plate inside. Stare at it. Hypnotize yourself.
Breathe out the chaos:
Inhale the scent of processed cheese, exhale the sound of the word "MOM" being yelled for the 47th time today.
Savor the hum: Let the monotonous drone of the microwave drown out the tiny humans plotting a coup in the living room.
When it beeps, your shift resumes. But for that one glorious minute? You were off the clock.
10 Fast facts about the lymphatic system:
1. It is the least understood and most undervalued of all the body systems, yet if it stopped working we would die within 24-48 hours
2. It is approximately twice the size of the blood circulation system and manages almost double the volume of fluid daily
3. Lymph starts its life as plasma, the watery component that makes up over half our blood volume
4. There are between 400-800 lymph nodes in the body that constantly monitor and filter the lymph to remove toxins, waste and pathogens
5. Swelling of the lymph nodes (or âglandsâ) in the neck are an indication that the body is in the throes of fighting an infection
6. It has been described as the âdistribution networkâ of the immune system and works seamlessly alongside it to fight bacteria, viruses and any other undesirables that make their way into the body
7. Far from being a âuseless, dead-end tubeâ, the appendix has recently been discovered to be part of the lymphatic system
8. The gut is lined with millions of lymphatic vessels (called lacteals) that absorb the fats and fatty acids that we ingest and transport them directly to the heart where they enter the circulatory system as fuel
9. It is considered the most important body system in Ayurvedic medicine, which considers it to be the âwater of lifeâ
10. Unlike the circulatory system, it is a one-way system and has no âpumpâ, relying on movement, gravity and breathing to keep flowing

Did you know your lymphatic system doesnât have a pump like your heart?
It depends on movement, breathing, hydration, and muscle contractions to keep lymph moving.
When lymph flow slows, some people notice puffiness, swelling after travel, or a feeling of heaviness.
Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle technique designed to support the bodyâs natural lymphatic system and promote relaxation.
Curious if itâs right for you? Feel free to send me a message!
