Sneak peek of our brand new treatment room! We have worked so hard to give you a beautifully thought out, intentional space to receive the spa treatments you know and love. We’re still offering sugaring in the next treatment room over, but we felt it was time the room matched the quality and elevated level of service we provide. We genuinely hope you enjoy this space and all of the love we put into it. We’ll be offering tea with your service in this room as an added step on your relaxation journey. Studio 71: a cool place to hang your hat.

Take a look, it’s in a book! Welcome to my new weekly series (I’m lying, I may never remember again) where I highlight some of the wonderful books in our miniature library at Studio 71. Not to be confused with our Little Free Library outside on the sidewalk. No, this library is inside the building, on the sunporch where we’ve carefully curated a small space for you to relax and listen to the cars go by. Put away that silly phone, you’re in the 1970s now! Books are better than doomscrolling which is why we’ve provided so many for you to have a look at while you’re here. We’ve got everything from vintage garden design to cute animal pictures, 70s yearbooks and vintage comic books. It’s all part of the experience here at Studio 71 where we take leisure time very seriously. So shut off your phone, leaf through a few pages, and feel your nervous system returning to neutral. We know you don’t care about your coworker’s vacation highlight reel, and you definitely don’t want to be annoyed by your neighbor’s political views. Down with social media! Read more books!

Hi Friends! Many of you have met Libby as she has been helping out at the salon, perfecting her skills and bringing her warm energy to the salon. At Studio 71, when we hire a recent Cosmetology school graduate, we put them through our own carefully crafted apprentice program to ensure they are fully prepared to serve our guests when the time comes.

Libby is still assisting and learning from Andie on Mondays and Tuesdays, but will be opening up her schedule on Fridays and Saturdays to start to perform services!

When Libby is working on guests as she finishes this portion of her apprenticeship, she will always be working under the careful care of either a Senior Stylist or a Master Stylist.

This means you can rest assured that although you are giving someone newer to the industry a try, you are still receiving the same quality that we stand behind as a salon.

We are known for our quality first and foremost, our dependability, and our approachability! This means we actually WANT you to tell us if there's something you'd like redone, and no matter who is doing your hair, we ensure it's up to our standards before we allow you to pay for your service. It's just what we've always done for our guests.

Sitting in Libby's chair is a wonderful opportunity to experience a quality service, all with the added benefit of apprentice pricing.

Online booking is not available for apprentice services. Please call or text the salon at 814-450-9217 to secure your spot with Libby before her apprenticeship ends!

Alright gals and g**s let’s talk about sugaring! We’ve been offering sugaring for two years now? Give or take? And we’d really like to educate the public on this service. Be prepared to see a lot more information about this ancient art and all of its benefits! If you have questions about sugaring, please ask us! All of our staff can answer your questions, and we also offer free sugaring consultations if you’d like to meet directly with our sugarist, Sara @ Studio 71. Either way, this is a year round service and just because summer’s winding down doesn’t mean it’s not a good time to start this process. Learn more about it and you’ll see why!

I would love to take a moment to shout out our resident curl specialists, Andie Surgener and ✨Emma Yarosz✨. These two gals absolutely have been taking such great care of all the curls in town. Yeah, like every single type. With two unique vibes- Andie will create a relaxing space where you know you are taken care of from the beginning and can trust fall into her chair as she works her magic, while Emma likes to explain every step of the process and give you an educational lesson throughout so you leave feeling like you know a little somethin’. No matter the chair you choose, these are your go-to ladies for the best curls of your life.

Ethan has such a calming aura you might just wanna snuggle and fall asleep while getting a blowout like Rachel did 😇🫶🏼 It’s different than a standard blow dry. Did you know we are one of the only places in Erie to offer a true blowout? We also have a punch card if you are into that sorta thing. 10th blowout is free!

Friends, meet Bella! We are so excited to welcome this talented, bubbly, accommodating member of the team to your arsenal of beauty pros. Bella comes to us with 4 years experience, 3 of those years specializing in lashes. Her lift and tints are a must-have, natural and beautifully done. She also loves lash extension services, brow services, and is excellent with skin care. Due to her expertise, we will now be offering chemical peels as well as a whole host of other new services. Fun fact: Bella actually has her Instructor license! She is the only one at Studio 71 with that extra certification under her belt. When Bella isn’t helping guests feel beautiful, she enjoys crocheting, yoga, and spending time with her family and dogs. Let’s give her a warm welcome and try some of the new services she’ll be offering!
