💔 9 MONTHS INTO BEN'S COMEBACK… AND THE FIGHT IS FAR FROM OVER. 💔

On January 4, 2026, our lives changed forever. One catastrophic stroke took away so much of the life Ben once knew. And for over 9 long months, he has been fighting every single day to get pieces of that life back.

We've celebrated the little victories, cried through the setbacks, prayed through the uncertainty, and watched Ben work harder than most people could ever imagine just to do things we all take for granted.

But here's the part of stroke recovery that people don't always see…
Recovery doesn't stop just because insurance decides it's time to stop paying. 💔 Ben has now exhausted his insurance-covered therapy visits. But his brain is still healing. His body is still fighting. His speech, mobility, and independence still need work. He STILL has so much potential to improve, and the last thing we want is for his progress to be limited because we simply cannot afford the therapy he desperately needs.

We are trying to continue therapy at home, but without insurance coverage, the financial burden is overwhelming.
And to make matters even harder, we are STILL struggling to get Social Security disability benefits. The bills don't stop. The everyday expenses don't stop. And Ben's needs certainly don't stop while we wait for answers.

Kaci has put her own career and so much of her life on hold to be Ben's full-time caregiver. She has taken on responsibilities that most people cannot even begin to understand, all while trying to keep life as normal as possible for her children.

We aren't asking for luxuries. We aren't asking for anything extravagant. We are simply asking for the opportunity to keep Ben moving forward.
We have come too far, fought too hard, and witnessed too many miracles to let finances determine how far Ben can go.

Ben survived the stroke. Now we're fighting to give him the best recovery possible. Unfortunately, Kaci has to work and we are looking for professional therapists that would come a couple days a week to work with him at home while she works.

TURNING A CHORE INTO THERAPY!!
Today, watering the plants became so much more. 🌱

I had him water each plant to work on his vision and concentration, tell me what he was going to do so he could practice saying the whole phrase correctly, count the bushes AND figure out how to control his wheelchair while holding the water hose. 🧠💪🏼

I stood back and watched him work through every little challenge, and I have to say… I was pretty impressed. 🥹🫶🏼

He may have thought he was just doing a chore, but this mama saw a whole lot of hard work and progress. 💙 One little task at a time!🤘🏼

Can’t turn my head for ONE minute! 🤣 I was pulling weeds, looked back, and there he was—determined to bring the trash can back from the road all by himself. 😂🫶🏼

And don’t judge the house or yard… we’re still renovating over here! 🥴🤦🏼‍♀️

She’ll roll her eyes before she’ll admit how much she really loves him.😏

She isn’t big on feelings, but somehow he knows them all. 🥰

She acts tough, like she doesn’t need anyone… except him.❤️

The smile she saves for him is one you’ll never see anywhere else!😁

And the day she thought she might lose him, the toughest girl I know completely broke.💔

Some bonds don’t need words. They just exist… and theirs is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever witnessed. 💛💛💛
