Ora’s Amazing Herbal products are all carefully handcrafted using organic healing herbs, without the use of synthetic ingredients, preservatives, or additives, and are gluten free as well. Our base oil is cold pressed grape seed oil, which is cold infused with healing herbs for a minimum of 2 months. During the infusion process it is stored in glass to avoid leaching of toxins from plastic into the oil, is protected from light, and is periodically physically agitated (aka I shake the jar) to ensure extraction of the healing components of the herbs into the oil. The herbs infused into the oil are a roughly equal blend of organic calendula, comfrey, plantain, chickweed, st. john’s wort, burdock and thyme. To make the All Purpose Salve, we gently add beeswax, organic coconut oil, vitamin E olive oil, and essential oils of rosemary, thuja, and tea tree, We have used our salve for bites, burns, cracked feet, as a hair pomade, you name it. Just warm it in your hand for a brief moment and smooth it on. We love it and we hope that you do too.

Lavender works on multiple levels to address the symptoms of a sunburn. From an herbal perspective, it is considered "cold" in nature, which helps to counteract the "heat signs" of a burn. It contains natural compounds with anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain-relieving) properties that help reduce the initial redness and stinging sensation. What you may not hear very often is how you can use lavender oil for pain relief! It is one of the best essential oils for sunburn relief.
