and Sarah will start Yoga for Beginners on Saturday at 8:30 am.

On Tuesday nights, we added a Zoom option for Belly Dance Cardio with Cindy - if you can't make it to the office, you can still get in a great workout from the comfort of your own home! 6:30 PM

On Thursday, two in-studio options.
1) Early morning Yoga Fusion class with Sarah: poses focused on balance and hip openers plus gentle controlled core movements. 7:30 AM
2) Hip Hop with Jodie is back! Join this fun, laid-back class and learn some fun new moves! 6:00 PM

On the morning of September 11, 2001, I was sitting through orientation for my first day of massage therapy school. This was before smart phones, so we were all getting to know each other, oblivious to the outside world, when the director of the school came in to tell us what had happened. He gave our instructor the option to end class early. That was the start of my massage therapy journey.
My teacher was part of a team that went to DC to provide chair massages for emergency responders at the Pentagon during the recovery and cleanup. I saw immediately her commitment to making the world a better place through touch. Throughout those first days and months, as we all reeled in shock as a country, we were inspired by stories of selflessness and bravery, and found ways that we could be a little kinder and gentler with our neighbors. Though there were also moments of anger and misplaced retribution, I held on to the hope and the promise of the community around us. In our best moments, this is what we can be for each other.
My classmates and I committed to careers as massage therapists as a way to bring more kindness and joy and relief to a hurting world. It is my ongoing hope that we all find that place in our communities where we can be that for others. Let today be another reminder to build bridges and not walls, to lift someone up and not push them down, to live in the spirit of generosity and not fear. Twenty-five years later I still believe we can make a better world together.
