Welcome back for day 4 as we cover tips from our blowout class
Hi my name is Ally and I’m a hairstylist in Elizabethtown Kentucky and I’m sharing tips we covered in my Blowouts without Burnout class which was all about giving gorgeous results while protecting your body
Tip number four is all about keeping your elbows and wrist below your shoulders as much as possible
For perspective I’m short, like 4’11 short, and I’m keeping my arms low by changing my position around my guest, and holding my tools in a way that allows my elbows to stay down.
Anyways, hit follow and come back tomorrow for day 5!
Welcome back for day 3 of sharing tips from our Blowout without burnout class
moving faster, doesn’t always make you faster
But it sure can burn you out
Let’s talk about ways we can reduce movements that add time to your service⬇️
❗️picking up and setting down your dryer- keep it on and tuck that baby under your opposite arm. You should then be able to grab it from the handle and get back to business
❗️clips where clips are not needed- when your in the nap sure, clip the hair up and put of the way, but when you can twist hair and toss it to the other side it’s going to save you time
❗️”rough” dry first - there are few situations that call for you starting with a soaking wet canvas. But in most cases you can remove excess water to about 80% dry and your brush work speeds up tremendously.
I’ve got things to say about rough drying but I’ll save that for another day 😉
The biggest part of creating speed is finding those repeatable systems, so what’s your our favorite time saver?

All journeys have to start somewhere
This is just the beginning
Our ultimate destination (for now) is a salt & pepper dimensional color that allows her to have more flexibility between her salon appts and mimics her natural
From here we will continue highlighting about every 8 weeks until we reach a point we are happy with the blend
Continued maintenance looks like occasionally toning and adding lowlights for dimension
Chime in hairstylist honeys, how do you feel about grey blending?
