Honoring the life and legacy of midwife trailblazer Dr. Janell Green-Smith. Dr Smith was known to be one of the greatest midwife’s of South Carolina who advocated for women of color on loss of life during childbirth. Unfortunately the same reasons she advocated against women of color losing their lives after childbirth would be the same reason she no longer is here to continue advocacy. Let’s continue to celebrate her legacy and continue to stand behind her intention to advocate for women of color being heard on their health concerns related to child birth.
