Bridal hair and makeup for my beautiful Colombian bride💍

We selected her glam, discussed her hairstyle and shared a meaningful conversation about her family and culture throughout the morning. After finishing her hair and makeup, we had a little mini photoshoot, and I helped her get into her wedding dress before it was time for her to say “I do.”

Seeing how excited and happy she was throughout the day made me so happy. One of the sweetest things she told me was that I was part of the happiest day of her life. Moments like these are the reason I love being a bridal artist.

Trials are SO important✨

I always tell my clients to come into their trial open minded. The look we create at the trial does not have to be the exact final look for your event. That’s the whole purpose of a trial, to see what you love, what you’d like to change, and what works best for your features.

Sometimes we think a certain makeup style will look good on us, but once everything is applied, we realize we may want softer eyes, a different lip color, more glow, less coverage, etc. And that’s completely okay!

I always recommend sending inspiration pictures of models or clients with similar skin tone, features, and skin texture to yours. It helps create more realistic inspiration and gives a better idea of how certain colors and styles may actually look on you. Nowadays it’s hard because so many inspiration photos are heavily edited or AI generated and while they’re beautiful, they can create unrealistic expectations. Makeup is powerful, but it cannot erase natural skin texture, wrinkles, pores, or acne completely and that’s normal and beautiful.
