We already knew she was a chug! But I was shocked at the poodle and the Minpin! But that does explain her cute poodle face and her yippee Minpin attitude! My little battle warrior! Nick Batts

Dorothy‘s litter of seven puppies was dropped off at a shelter in Escondido. No mother just the puppies at less then two weeks old. So no one knew what type of heeler these puppies were (the spots and pointy ears were the dead giveaway)! And with them being so small and malnourished in the beginning, everyone thought they would stay small.
Incomes me scrolling the Internet at 10 PM and I come across this face. To this day she still pulls my heart strings like no other with just the way she looks at me. It was that face that made me jump and adopt her from SPOT Rescue as quickly as i could. I let my heart lead and I’m so glad i did. I love this Clifford dog so damn much it hurts. Poppy update!! We’ve found our Toto! Just like the poppy fields of Oz, this girl is colorful, beautiful and persnickety! And we are head over heels for this wild little chug, and Dorothy is the absolute BEST big/little sister! They are the best of friends!

And as of today, It’s official!! SHES OURS! It took 8 fosters to find my Foster Fail! And this girl fits our family so perfectly. 💖🌸💖

Spay tattoos are actually a genius idea! 🙌 As someone who worked in the vet field 25 years ago, this would’ve been such a game changer! I remember cases where we didn’t know if the animal was spayed until they were opened up. 🙈😩
And someone at the Bonita Humane Society is getting creative. 😂 Poppy has a little heart! 💖🌸💖

Foster update!!
This recent foster trade, set up by our Chihuahua Rescue of San Diego County foster coordinator 921Shosh , is going so well, both these pups are on hold right now while they loosen up and find their light again. They both ate both doing SO much better with these placements!
Finding the specific needs of each dog can be so very hard! This was a 1st for me. Luckily i have an amazing village of like minded people that are just as motivated to help save ALL the animals! 🙌 ❤️
