“She had a weird look in her eyes.”

A bleeding man stumbled into a Covent Garden barbershop and told the barber he had just been stabbed.

Seconds later, that barber was running toward the alleged attacker — who was still holding scissors.

Four men were stabbed during the incident. All four were treated and have since been discharged from the hospital. Police arrested a 47-year-old woman at the scene, who was later charged in connection with the attack.

The barber said he wasn’t the only one who responded:

“We all came rushing out of our shops to help.”

Eight gunshots. A barbershop full of people. And an off-duty police officer sitting inside.

Authorities say a gunman entered Seven Fades Hair Studio outside Austin and opened fire on patrons and employees.

One barbershop employee was shot and escaped to a nearby home for help. His injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

But one of the customers inside the shop happened to be an off-duty Austin police officer.

The officer engaged the gunman, returned fire and killed him — ending the threat before authorities say it could have become far worse.

Austin Police Chief Lisa Davis called the officer a hero and said his actions probably saved multiple lives inside the barbershop.
