hair to become brittle and stopped it from growing on part of my crown. After my hysterectomy, the thinning increased along with my testosterone levels, due to a new medication I decided to try. This also caused me to have male pattern baldness. My hair drastically changed with-in months, becoming thinner and thinner on top. My hairdresser and I were about in tears the last couple of times I went in to see her this summer. The last appointment I had with her I walked out of her salon ready to shave my hair off and get a wig. Between all the products I used I thought how much easier it would be to purchase a wig. I told my husband this is just wrong and it should not take this long to fix my hair. Being the wonderful husband he is, he would always tell me how beautiful I was, but I did not feel beautiful. Out of frustration and discouragement, I started researching different products and procedures that might be able to help with hair growth. From laser treatments to hair transplants, oils and natural remedies, I searched hi and low. Some were too expensive while others had no guarantees of success. My OB referred me to a doctor for my thyroid. He was not sure if the damage could be reversed, and referred me to a dermatologist. The dermatologist said I had a form of alopecia. She started me on medication and Rogaine to help. In June and July of this year, my hair worsened and I had my daughter’s wedding coming up in November. What was I going to do about my hair? My nail tech and I were talking about my hair loss. She told me about a volume extension for women with thinning hair. She mentioned a topper, but was not sure if that was right fit for me. Well God had other plans. I was in Texas visiting a friend, and I asked my friend if we could go check out some toppers. God started my journey that day. I found a topper and I left that day with REAL HAIR, a new confidence, and a new pep in my step. IN ADDITION, I LOOKED YOUNGER! Who does not want to look younger! I was not worried if someone was looking at my bald spots, if the wind blew my hair the wrong way, or if someone was going to wonder if I was ill for some reason. As I said, God had other plans. God started putting on my heart, what if I could bring toppers to women here in Oklahoma. I kept praying about it. I did not mention this to my husband at all. I also spoke with Diana, which is in Georgia (Georgia Hair Solutions) and helped women dealing with thinning and hair loss also. She is not a stylist, but a woman with a passion to help women dealing with thinning hair like me. I had several doctor appointments over the next several weeks. The feedback from the medical professionals I saw was that there was a need for a product like this for women dealing with this hair loss. I told them I was praying about it, but since I am not a stylist, I would have to find someone to cut in the pieces for me. I finally got the courage to talk with my husband, after I received the positive feedback from my doctors. We discussed the pros, cons, and concerns about the business, while praying if this is what God was leading me to do. He would have to open one final door. He would need to provide a hair stylist, which had the same passion as me, to help women dealing with hair loss. Well, He provided the final piece; he not only gave me one, but two stylists in my path to help me!! I had my own small business here in Oklahoma but over the years me and Diana have become like sisters sharing the same hair journey from wearing toppers to now full wigs. She started talking with me around September of 2024 for me to operate a store here in Edmond, Oklahoma. So I shut my business doors in December 2024 and joined Diana. I really believe in my heart that God brought us together for this. I am so excited to join Diana and Georgia Hair Solutions and bring you Georgia Hair Solutions to Edmond, Oklahoma.
