Hi, I’m Emily Bartel, and it’s officially been one full year of owning WEST MEDICAL AESTHETICS | OKC Med Spa and 14 years of working in aesthetics.

New beginnings always come with a little fear. A year in, I can tell you the fear still creeps in at times, but the excitement and hope for the future far outweighs the fear.

A little about me! I’ve been in aesthetics for over 14 years, starting as an aesthetician and the last 4 and a half years, as a nurse as well. It all began with a love for makeup. That passion grew into wanting to help people feel confident in their skin, so I decided to go to nursing school to further my education.

Fast forward several years working in various medical spas and adding to my education, my passion grew exponentially when I started working with Sciton Inc devices. I was hooked. The education, the support, the results, no other devices compared. That relationship with Sciton truly changed the trajectory of my career. It narrowed my focus and showed me exactly what kind of a provider I wanted to be.

Starting West was more than opening a business to me. It was about creating an experience, one where every person feels taken care of and appreciated. One year later, that mission means more to me than ever. Here’s to many more. 🖤
