The first scratchy throat of the season tends to arrive the same week the furnace kicks on.

From there, a cold or flu moves at its own pace. How you feel on Monday is rarely how you feel by Friday.

What do those stages look like?

A slow start, when you feel tired and a little off.

The heavy middle, when you're achy, warm and not hungry.

A long finish, when you're mostly better but still not yourself.

Each one asks for something different. So we keep a different drip ready for each.

When it's just starting, Shield offers zinc, vitamin C, magnesium and B vitamins, all of which your body relies on daily.

In the heavy middle, Flu Fighter combines fluids, zinc, vitamin C and magnesium, for the days when eating and drinking feel like work.

On the long finish, Post Viral brings B vitamins and glutamine while your energy finds its way back.

Here's what many people don't realize.

You don't have to figure out the stage on your own.

Our licensed nurses in Edina ask how you're feeling, what conditions you've had and which medications you're on, then help you choose. If something sounds like it needs your doctor, we'll tell you.

Members can also add their free Tri-Immune shot to any October visit.

And since getting back to normal often takes more than one visit, you'll save 20% on a second immunity drip booked inside a week, all October long.

Rest, warm meals and early nights still matter as the evenings grow darker. Reach out by phone or message, and we'll match a drip to the stage you're in.

"I'm sick. Which IV should I get?"

Once October settles in, our Edina team hears that question almost daily.

It's a reasonable thing to ask. When you feel awful, three drip names on a menu can all start to sound alike.

So here's how each one is built.

Shield is a common pick when something is just starting. It pairs vitamin C and zinc with B12, B-complex, magnesium and NAC, which your cells draw on to make glutathione.

Flu Fighter is the leaner formula, meant for the harder days. Vitamin C, magnesium and zinc come with IV fluids, which matters when fever and a missing appetite leave you short on water.

Post Viral fits the stretch after the worst has passed. Glutamine, folic acid, B12 and B-complex join vitamin C and magnesium while your usual energy returns.

Still unsure which one is yours?

That's what the first few minutes of your visit are for. A licensed nurse reviews how you feel, your past conditions and your current medications, then suggests the best match.

Few people plan for this next part.

In Minnesota, cold and flu season rarely wraps up in December. According to the CDC, flu activity often climbs through the winter months and can linger into May.

That's months of school germs, holiday travel and short gray afternoons.

A membership covers that whole stretch, from now through spring. Your drips become part of a steady routine, rather than a decision you make once you already feel run down.

This month, active members can also add a Tri-Immune shot at no charge. It combines vitamin C, glutathione and zinc.

Ask about memberships next time you stop in, or call, and someone on our team will go over the options with you.

"Wait, I can get my IV in the sauna?"

We hear that question a lot in Edina. Most people assume they have to choose one or the other.

You don't.

Your drip hangs on the pole just outside our infrared sauna, and the line comes with you onto the bench. You sit in the warmth while your IV runs.

Why do people pair them?

The drip sends fluids, vitamins and electrolytes straight to your bloodstream.

The sauna gives you steady, dry warmth on a cold Minnesota afternoon.

One appointment covers both, so the rest of your day stays open.

This next bit tends to surprise people.

When you sweat, you lose water along with electrolytes like sodium and potassium. With a drip running at the same time, you're taking fluids in while the heat draws them out.

Infrared panels warm your body more directly than the air around you. That lets the cabin run cooler than a traditional sauna, which many people find easier to sit in.

It still starts with a conversation. Our licensed nurse asks about your health background, any medications you're on and your energy that day, then helps you decide on timing and whether the pairing fits you.

Some guests book it on days they feel run down, usually pairing the heat with Shield or Flu Fighter. Others simply want some quiet time in the warmth once the frost shows up.

Ask about adding the sauna at your next drip in Edina. Or share this with someone who's already cold by October.

Being sick isn't a game. And a Minnesota doesn't play fair.

Shorter days, colder air, and a full calendar can leave your body running on empty.

That's the moment to give it real support, not wait it out.

Our three immunity drips are each formulated for a different need:

Shield: Vitamin C, zinc, NAC, magnesium, B12, and B-complex.

Flu Fighter: Vitamin C, magnesium, and zinc.

Post Viral: Vitamin C, glutamine, folic acid, B12, and B-complex, for when you're working your way back to feeling like yourself.

Our wellness team will review your goals and help you choose the right fit.

Somewhere in Edina, a race bib, four safety pins and a very specific pair of socks are laid out on the kitchen counter.

It's Twin Cities Marathon weekend.

Saturday brings the 5K and 10K. Sunday brings the 10 Mile, the half and the full marathon, from downtown Minneapolis to the Capitol.

Some of you are chasing a PR. Some of you just want a finish photo where you're still smiling.

Either way, months of early alarms come down to one morning.

Race morning gets most of the planning. The days on either side of it usually get less.

That's where we come in.

Allstar for before. Restoration to recover.

Since it's an IV, nothing has to make its way through your stomach first. Licensed nurses start every drip, with physician oversight on each protocol.

Pause the video to see what's in each bag.

Which one, and when?

Racing Sunday? Allstar on Saturday. Racing Saturday? Restoration after your race, or Sunday.

Finishing Sunday? Restoration that afternoon or Monday. Cheering from mile 20 with a cowbell? That's a long day on your feet too.

We're open all weekend long, Saturday 10-4 and Sunday 11-3.

We're here for it.

Book your drip, or send this to the runner you'll be cheering for.

Someone at the office is already coughing, and it's barely October.

That's how cold and flu season tends to show up in Minnesota. Quietly, and right on schedule.

The CDC says flu activity can start rising as early as October and is usually highest from December through February.

What else shifts this time of year?

Mornings turn frosty while afternoons still feel like September.

Daylight shrinks by close to three minutes a day.

More time indoors means more shared air.

Calendars fill with school events, year-end deadlines and holiday plans.

Stress is the one people tend to overlook.

In a well-known study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, people reporting higher stress were more likely to come down with a cold after being exposed to the virus.

Short nights and steady pressure take a toll on how you feel. So does adjusting to a new season.

That's why our October member perk is Tri-Immune.

Active members can try one Tri-Immune shot free with any visit to our Edina clinic during October. Let the front desk know when you arrive.

What's in it?

- Vitamin C, which your immune cells use every day.
- Zinc, which plays a part in normal immune function.
- Glutathione, an antioxidant made naturally inside the body.

Our nurses will ask how your sleep and stress have been, then help you decide whether the shot alone fits or an immunity drip like Shield or Flu Fighter makes more sense.

Think of it as one piece of your fall routine. Rest, water, time outside while the light lasts, and whatever your own doctor recommends for the season all count too.

New to us, or thinking about joining? DM us, and we'll build a membership around your health goals from the first frost through spring.

"Which peptide should I try?"

We hear that question often in Edina. The real answer depends on what you want help with.

The word covers a lot of ground.

Two people can both be "on peptides" and be working toward completely different goals.

So what do people come in asking about?

- Recovery after hard training or an injury that lingers.
- Gut health, when digestion has felt off for a while.
- Skin that looks firmer and more elastic.
- Memory, focus and clearer mental energy.
- Better sleep and steadier energy through the day.
- Weight loss support alongside a nutrition plan.

Each of those goals has its own family of peptides.

Recovery peptides are used to support your body after strain or injury, and some are studied for gut health.

Beauty peptides are aimed at firmness and elasticity in your skin, so you look and feel more like yourself.

Cognitive peptides are used to support memory, focus and energy.

Others support sleep, recovery and metabolism.

Here's the part many people don't expect.

Once your plan is set, most peptides fit into your routine at home. No standing appointment, and our team is a message away when questions come up.

Getting there still takes care. It starts with a sit-down conversation. A licensed provider goes over your goals, your medical background, and your daily medications.

When one is a good match, your provider chooses it and sets your dose.

A licensed pharmacy provides it, with medical director oversight.

If none fits yet, we'll say so.

Individual results vary.

As the days shorten, bring us the question you've been turning over. Mention it on your next stop in Edina, or message us anytime.

Every fall, Minnesota does the same thing. Windows close, furnaces kick on, and everyone moves indoors until April.

The results are fairly predictable.

Heated indoor air gets dry, and researchers have linked dry winter air to how easily flu spreads. Add shorter days, fuller calendars, and a little less sleep, and it's no mystery why so many people feel run down by November.

So consider this a small, practical act of defiance. Start taking care of yourself now, while everyone around you is still healthy.

Where to start?
A humidifier running in the bedroom.
A water bottle that actually leaves the house with you.
A bedtime you keep on weeknights.
An immune support drip on the calendar while you still feel fine.

At The DRIPBaR Edina, your first visit includes a health history review, a licensed nurse places every IV, and Dr. Ahmed oversees the medical side.

Repeat after us, quietly if you prefer. Then book the appointment.

You probably read a dozen reviews before buying your last snowblower.

Maybe you asked two neighbors which contractor to call, too.

Anything going into your bloodstream deserves at least that much homework.

More places around the Twin Cities offer IV drips every year. From the parking lot, most of them look about the same.

The differences show up inside.

If we were the ones shopping, here's the list we'd bring.

Physician oversight on every drip and shot. A licensed nurse starting every IV. Your health history reviewed at your first visit. A consultation before any peptide program begins.

At The DRIPBaR Edina, all four are standard. Not upgrades. Not extras. Standard.

It's not the exciting part of a visit. It's the part that lets you settle in and relax for the rest of it.

Clear protocols, careful hands, and safety that's built in rather than bolted on.

Not sure where to start? Book a Help Me Choose consult and the team will match services to your goal.

Average is easy to find. Functional takes a process.

In Minnesota, cold season isn't a week. It's a quarter of the year.

Which means right now, somebody in your group chat is fighting something. Somebody else just got over it. And somebody is standing in a kitchen insisting they are definitely not getting it.

That's how it works. Whatever's going around makes the rounds through every family, every office, every friend group.

So make a plan that goes the other direction. Get well together instead.

Bring your person to your next visit. Two lounge chairs, one warm room, and an hour where the only thing on the calendar is sitting still.

You each get your own intake and your own drip, matched to what you're actually working on, because no two people walk in needing the same thing.

One of you is run down from the week. The other is gearing up for the season. We can work with both.

And yes, the group chat will survive without you for an hour.

Tag your person and pick a day. We're here in Edina.
