I am deeply uninterested in spending the second half of my life proving how much I can endure. I don’t want a life built around believing my value is contingent on how much I can carry.
I feel myself arriving at a place where I relish my life, not constantly recover from it. I feel rested, not resilient. Life feels full and soft in my hands. {Beautiful reality being in ~my~ hands.} I hold more now than ever, yet my hands feel wide open and lighter than ever. I feel both pack animal and lone wolf. Slow nights and slower mornings. Roses on the counter every day just because.

The second half of life gets to be this. 🌀🤍

This weekend, my granddaughter and I went into the woods to gather treasures for The Little Witches Ball. According to Amelia we were entering a magical forest, scaling mountains, on the hunt for magical moss. This is one of my favorite things about being with Amelia. The wild and beautiful part of her that stops to look at every interesting leaf, pick up every perfect stone, and wander into undiscovered territory just waiting to be explored by us. And as we filled our pockets with treasures, it got me thinking about how much I want share exactly THIS with the kiddos that come to the Little Witches Ball. 
The feeling that the natural world is alive with magic.

Amelia and I cannot wait to welcome your little ones into our magical afternoon of nature, creativity, potions, pumpkins, treasure hunting and heaps and heaps of green witchy wonder.🌿💚🌱

Dearest women everywhere right now,

First we breathe grief.
Then we breathe fire.

This feels like a powerful card at this particular season/threshold of life. Appearing on an Aries full moon, at Autumn Equinox, after a long period of so many endings. The message feels less about release and more about recognizing what still remains. The leaves are falling but the trunk stays. Stability, loyalty, reliability…speaks to me about what is deeply rooted in me and not becoming someone new, but rather, trusting the woman who is still standing.
