This client came in and said she likes angel lashes but her lash tech was doing something different. She also stated that she doesn’t like a cat eye look.
I take a look and she seemed to have a hybrid look with a Y fan and had longer lashes on her outer corner.

Consults are very important to improve the look of the lashes the client actually wants and to make sure the lash health is steady

Meet the Esthetician💌

Hello friends! My name is Alani and since Sage and Opal Esthetics and Lash Co. came up on its 2 year mark, it’s about time for a reintroduction!

I am 21 years old and was born in Texas but grew up here in beautiful Alaska. If I’m not working, you can either find me spending time with my family and my fur baby, making memories with my friends, or outside! I love to travel and explore new things while also catching a good concert! You could even say im addicted to live music. My favorite season is our beautiful Alaskan summers where I spend a lot of my time camping, fishing, and riding, not to mention our breathtaking Autumns!

I got inspired for my business name “Sage and Opal” not because Sage is my favorite color, but because it has always been such a beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful color and that’s what being in the Esthetician world is all about! I also chose Opal because it is one of the most curious jewels known to earth from its many colors and phases, to its soft complexion, like the skin!

I decided to get into the beauty field because I enjoy skincare myself. Moving from a humid place to a very dry place and not knowing the proper skincare was always a struggle for me. I soon realized that I wasn’t the only one struggling to find the right routine either, So what better way to help myself and others find a good balance then becoming an Esthetician, but what really motivated my Esthetics journey was in 2024. I got my first set of lash extensions and I was absolutely hooked. I got more curious and decided I wanted to help Alaskas beautiful girlies fulfill their lash dreams. Now I am a certified lash artist in 3 lash categories. I have been a Licensed Esthetician for 2 year now and I specialize in lash extensions and anything brows. BUT! I do love a good facial and wax service! By far the most satisfying services ever!

I am truly blessed and grateful for all the beautiful souls that I get to meet every single day and I live to help each individual who lays in my bed to reach their beauty goals. Helping out others, no matter the job is what I live for and what I have always wanted to do as a little girl. I cannot express how happy I am to have chosen the career I did.

My job is one of the most rewarding jobs I could have ever hoped for but honestly I don’t see it as a job, I see it as my happy place. The best part about my career is the connections and friendships I have built with every client that lays on my bed. From the laughs, the debriefs, to a few cries and hugs here and there, I am grateful for every second I spend with you all knowing you feel so comfortable with me. My clients easily become part of my family and I cherish every single one of you.

I am truly honored to have early mornings and late nights just to make sure women leave my bed feeling whole. My job wouldn’t be my blessing if it wasn’t for my amazing clients who trust and cherish my work. For that I thank you all for letting me be your Esthetician. You all have no idea how lucky I am to be apart of your beauty and wellness journey!

Sage and Opal Esthetics and Lashes is 2 Years old today!🥳

2 Years ago today, I got an email telling me that I passed my State Board Exams and was officially a Licensed Esthetician, and let me tell you it has absolutely changed my life.
My career is my baby, my pride, my joy. The amount of time and effort I put into school, extra classes, and expanding my techniques was worth all of it.
Not only am I proud of my work, I am proud of myself and my growth. No matter how hard it got, how much I doubted myself, and if no one believed in me, I refused to quit on what I worked hard to achieve.
I needed to remind myself that when I first started, my dream was to be where I am at today, and if I was able to get to this point, think of what the next few years will get me. Now I am blessed to have made it so far and be so successful that I am already working hard for the next big step for my little buisness.

My job is one of the most rewarding jobs I could have ever hoped for. When I was a girl, my main goal in life was to help others, now, I get to help women reach their beauty goals and help them feel confident in themselves even if they are already beautiful.
