The Root Cause NP
I help with women overcome PCOS using diet and lifestyle as medicine
Hear me out; not getting a period isn’t your body betraying you (even when it feels that way). Rather it’s your body’s way of getting your attention.
Symptoms are the language of your body. They’re speaking to you!! An irregular or missing period isn’t the problem itself, it’s a signal that ovulation isn’t happening the way it should.
If you’re tired of guessing why your cycle won’t cooperate, the Root Cause Portsmouth gives you the clarity, the step-by-step plan, and the confidence to actually fix what’s driving pcos and restore ovulation and a period over three months.
For many women, insulin resistance is what’s contributing to lack of ovulation and irregular cycles.
🚨 When this is your root cause, here’s what’s actually going on: when you eat, the food doesn’t enter the cell. Think of this like the food is sitting on the front porch (your bloodstream), but it’s not making it into the house (your cells). Your body reads that as famine, even if you’re eating plenty. And when your body thinks it’s starving, it doesn’t feel safe to take care of you, never mind bring a baby on board. So it tells your ovaries to shut down ovulation.
Chronic inflammation → fatigue, bloating, brain fog, headaches, skin changes, pseudo allergies, reflux
Chronic stress → cycle disruption, poor sleep, cravings
We can suppress the symptom with birth control to force a “period,” and sometimes that’s absolutely appropriate. But if we never ask why ovulation isn’t happening in the first place, we risk quieting an important clue while the underlying driver stays put.
Stop asking “how do I get a period to show up?”
Start asking “what is my body trying to tell me?”
Fix the root cause, fix the ovulation. That’s your superpower.

Listen to your symptoms! They’re not your body betraying you (even when it feels that way).
If you’re tired of guessing what your symptoms mean, the Root Cause Reset gives you the clarity, the step-by-step plan, and the confidence to actually fix what’s driving them, not just manage them.
Symptoms are the language of your body. They’re speaking to you. Learn what they mean. Ignore them, and the underlying problem keeps going, so the intensity and number of symptoms grow.
We can suppress symptoms by medicating them, and sometimes that’s absolutely appropriate. But if we never ask why they’re happening, we risk quieting an important clue while the underlying driver stays put.
The mistake I see most with PCOS: believing you have ten separate problems.
In reality, your body is often telling the same story ten different ways.
Insulin resistance → cravings, weight gain, acne, facial hair, irregular cycles
Chronic inflammation → fatigue, bloating, brain fog, headaches, skin changes, pseudo allergies, reflux
Chronic stress → poor sleep, cravings, cycle disruption
Stop asking “how do I get rid of this symptom?”
Start asking “what is my body trying to tell me?”
Knowing what your symptoms actually mean, and how to fix the root cause instead of just quieting it, is your superpower.
👇 Comment SYMPTOMS and I’ll send you the exact framework I use to help women identify what’s actually driving their PCOS symptoms, and the simple lifestyle tweaks that fix those root causes.
Ready for the clarity, the plan, and the confidence to stop guessing? The Root Cause Reset is where we start. Comment RESET and let’s talk.

You never win when you’re chasing symptoms 😤weight gain, chin hair, mood changes, irregular cycles, infertility, trying more diets, supplements, workouts, and routines without knowing what YOUR body actually needs.
That’s why I built clinical my approach differently.
I don’t ask women to fold their entire life into another PCOS program.
Our clinicians look at your body and your life: what you’re already doing well, where the biggest opportunities are, and what changes are actually worth your energy.
Then we focus there. We build consistency. We see the transformation.
Less guessing. Less doing everything at once. More answers, more precision, and real feedback from your body so you can start seeing what’s working from week one.
Because the goal isn’t to become perfect at managing PCOS.
It’s to understand your body well enough to build a healthier life that actually fits the life you already have. So you can stop thinking about PCOS and can get back to your life and the things that bring you joy!

1) Understanding IF you’re ovulating: This might seem obvious, but it’s overlooked by so many people starting their TTC journey. No egg released = no baby. PCOS is the leading cause of anovulatory infertility, so irregular or absent ovulation is common. However, most women with PCOS CAN ovulate, sometimes just later or less consistently. Learning to track ovulation signs or getting testing with your provider can help you figure out if and when you are ovulating.
2) If you aren’t ovulating, figuring out WHY not is crucial. Insulin resistance, inflammation, and chronic stress can all interfere with the hormones needed for regular ovulation. But those are only part of the answer. The next question is: what is causing inflammation/insulin resistance/adrenal excess in the first place?
3) Your lifestyle is probably the biggest part of that answer. Things like how you eat, how much you move, your sleep, stress, and recover can all affect insulin resistance, inflammation, and stress hormones. This is actually really good news because these are things you can totally work on! Improving the habits that are contributing to your root cause can help your hormones work better and help your body ovulate more regularly. The key here is to make your body feel safe. A body that feels safe, says “sure, bring a baby on board!” and allows ovulation.
4) Optimizing egg quality is key whether you are trying to get pregnant on your own OR with the help of something like IVF. There are honestly hundreds of tips for this, but the basics matter most!
5) Optimizing your partner’s health matters too. S***m is half of the equation here, and just because you have PCOS doesn’t mean their fertility should be ignored! If your struggling to get pregnant to why should be evaluated as well.
6) You probably don’t need to do ALL the things. Cutting out entire food groups, cutting out all caffeine, being afraid of certain forms of exercise, taking $200 supplements/mo. That’s probably not needed. Major in the majors, not the minors.
Focus on figuring out what your body actually needs and doing those things consistently.
Consistency is the secret sauce to seeing real and measur
