Charms I DIY’d This Week - Polymer Clay ✨🎨

Back at it again with more clay charms I made this week! 🎨

I decided to try something new and work with polymer clay instead of air dry and I think I’m in love 🥹

I was so intimidated by it, I was scared to try it (it literally sat on my desk for a week untouched). I’m so glad I mustered up the courage to create with it, because it was so easy to use and so fun to work with! 🤭

Though polymer clay gave me the instant gratification I needed when wanting to see my creations come to life, I’m not done with air dry clay. I’ll circle back soon but for now polymer is having her moment! ✨



I recently made the cutest cowboy hat incense holder as a gift for one of my closest friend’s birthday 🥹

It was super easy and fun to make! Swipe along for a step by step tutoring on how I made it. 👩🏽‍🎨

I decide to make it cow print since black and white are her favorite colors and it came out perfect! 🐮
Can’t wait to make more of these and hopefully sell them 🤭

Air dry clay crafts are HARD! What I thought what going to be a cutesy ADHD side quest quickly gave me a reality check. There’s so much that goes into the process of making clay art:

There’s the brainstorming phase. 🧠
Then you have but all of the necessary tools to get started. 🧰
Then you move onto prepping your clay. ✂️
Finally, you get to cutting, scoring and smoothing your piece but you can’t get too excited because you have to wait for it to dry. 😢 
Once it’s dry, you have to sand it, prime it, mix your colors and THEN you get to paint it. 🎨
After another drying session, final glossing and a last drying session, your project is finished! 🏁✨
And if you’re doing charms, there’s a couple more steps with add jewelry. ⛓️

All that to say, air dry clay crafts are not the immediate dopamine hit I was expecting. But I’m still going to work at it because it’s always fun to see my cute and quirky ideas come to life. 🥹🤗
