Hello Safe Space family-

I am writing this post, humbly asking for your support for our amazing front of house rock star, Chel. All of you have come to know and love her over the last 2.5 years. She is the bright and sunny (human) personality that greets you every time you come in. She always has a kind word and a smile, and she is the oil that keeps Safe Space a smoothly running machine.

Recently she was in a car accident, and unfortunately, Durham police declared it a no fault accident (she is fighting this, but it’s going to be a long road). She was t-boned by a reckless driver, and there were no witnesses.

She lost a week of work, had hospital bills, and her car is totaled. Due to the aforementioned circumstances, it looks like neither insurance company will offer her any compensation.

Can we as a community come together and help this lovely human out? If you can’t spare a few dollars, sharing the fundraiser would be helpful as well!

Welcome to our new hair flash!
We have been inspired by other wonderful and talented hair stylists () who have started making hair flashes, similar to tattoo flashes.

This is the first time we’re doing this, so things may change in the future as we figure out a smoother process.

What we love about this is that we get to try out different creative color placements and techniques we have been wanting to try. We do this at a discounted price, since we are practicing our creative freedom.

Whether you are someone who is used to getting fun color done or someone who has been looking for a sign to get some fun color- this is for you!

Additional information for booking:
- All appointments require a consultation to be booked.
- Price dependent on what’s underneath and may increase if corrective bleaching is required.
- Not all styles may be suitable for your hair type and/or history.
- The goal is to try these out on a seasonal 3 month period.
