Kobe's hair is beautiful but it was loaded down with heavy waxes and butters that was suffocating the vitality out of his curls.

So, first I provided him with a shape that works well for his lifestyle and facial shape.

Second, we detoxed the hair to try to remove as much product build up from the hair as possible.

Lastly he received a lesson on how to care for his hair as well as a digital Curl’scription that breaks down the how to of his curls plus a list/ links to his curls recommended products.

POV..... This is a long one, are you ready?

So, I needed professional pictures for the updated branding of my business. And, you guys know, getting ready for headshots is stressful. I'm a curlspecialist so, I wanted people to see me not only as an artist, but also as a person that walks the talk. I can't just say love your curls and I'm not a proud tight coily girl myself.

I was thinking about just adding some clip-ins for frontal length, but life started lifing and I ended up showcasing all my natural curls. I refused to let old insecurities ruin my shoot day. My hair is beautiful, and after life gave me a hard turn I'm even more determined to show my curlfriends that extensions are a choice not a crutch.

Ladies, my shoot day was amazing! Drex Effect aka Drexina Nelson killed my photos! I totally feel like a superstar, and it makes me proud to continue to say "Rock your natural curls.
