Baby, those damaged ends are NOT helping you retain length! Split ends can continue traveling up the hair shaft, causing more breakage, thinning, tangling, and damage. Sometimes you gotta let a little go to gain a lot! 💇🏽‍♀️

✂️ Keep up with your trims! Every 6–8 weeks is a great starting point, depending on your hair’s condition and needs.

💦 AND WHILE WE’RE HERE… OIL IS NOT MOISTURE!

Stop drowning dry hair in oil and wondering why it’s STILL dry! 😩 Oil can help seal in moisture, but you need a good water-based leave-in conditioner to hydrate and condition your strands FIRST!

I’ve included some of my favorite leave-ins on the last slide! 💙 Protein can also help strengthen damaged hair when used appropriately.

Protective styles are supposed to PROTECT your hair — not have your edges fighting for their life or your braids hanging on by a prayer 😭

Healthy hair will ALWAYS come before the style in my chair. Speak up about tension, take those braids down when it’s time, moisturize that scalp, and PLEASE let me cut those ends sis 😂✂️
