We are often told to keep politics out of business—particularly in the beauty space. I completely reject that idea. I have always been, and will continue to be, unapologetically vocal about my values. Doing the right thing isn’t always easy or good for the bottom line. But if business success requires compromising on human rights or staying silent in the face of racism and hatred, then I am entirely comfortable walking away from that revenue. Some things matter far more than profit.
