This beauty was a whole vibe! 😍 I thoroughly enjoyed her company, but her reaction to her new hair was EVERYTHING!

She could not keep her hands out of it. 😂 And something tells me that mirror is going to be seeing plenty of her for the next few days.

I live for these reactions! 🥰

Cheers to her new journey! 🥂✨

My suggestion? Don’t wait for a certain length to start your journey. Got at least 2.5–3 inches? Is it healthy? Start there and watch those babies take off!

Low density? No problem. Give her a few months and just watch that fullness start to come to fruition.

This is Day 1 ➡️ Month 8.

Can you tell the difference? 👀

I always say... I'm not just maintaining locs. I'm watching them grow up. 🥹

From April 2024 to June 2026...
Patience = Progress. 💛

POV: You just got a fresh retightening... and you're feeling yourself. 😌✨

She did her own beautiful color job. This color deserved a name, so I called her "Shades of Blue." 💙🔥

Healthy locs. Crisp parts. Main character energy.

Day 1: "I don't know about this..." 🤨

Month 21: "Okay... now I get it." ✨

Trust the process. Your locs are listening.

Every appointment is an opportunity for connection, conversation, and community. What started as “just hair” has grown into so many meaningful relationships, and I never take that for granted.
One of my clients gifted me this book, and I’m honestly so grateful and excited to get into it. Thoughtful gestures like this truly mean so much to me. 🖤

I finally made something I’ve been meaning to create for a long time.

One of the most common questions I get is:

👉 “Do you have something I can refer back to for maintenance?"

So I created it.

The Small Loc Maintenance Guide

This is the same structure I use with my clients to help them maintain healthy, thriving locs—especially during the early stages and beyond.
Inside, I break down:

✔ how to properly wash your locs
✔ what to use (and what to avoid)
✔ how to prevent unraveling and buildup
✔ what to expect during your first year
✔ how to maintain your locs long-term

This is for:
new loc clients
transfer clients
and even my established clients who need a reset
If you’ve ever felt unsure about what to do between appointments…
👉 this will help you stay consistent and confident.

You can grab it here:

And as always, I appreciate you trusting me with your loc journey 💛

My son started his loc journey 6/2022… and now almost 4 years later—look at the results. 👏🏽

No products.
Weekly washes.
Root maintenance once a quarter.
That’s it. Consistency over everything.

Everybody wants instant results, but locs will humble you real quick. This journey is about patience, trust, and staying the course.
And when you do?
Come on length! 🔥

Started a 5-year-old on her Microlocks journey today. 💛

Her parents did their homework, asked all the questions, and made sure this was something she truly wanted.

And let me tell you… this little lady was so excited she said she couldn’t sleep the night before. 😆

Now I know some people feel 5 is too young. But in my chair, if a child can sit, understands what’s happening, and is genuinely excited about their hair freedom — I’m here for it.
Healthy hair. Happy kid. Supportive parents. That’s what matters.

*Loc establishment decisions for minors are always made by the parent/guardian in consultation with the child.*

Three months post-establishment and she’s settling in beautifully.

This is her second time around the block with small locs, so she already knows what she wants this time…

And for her, it’s ALL about the squares! 😆

Some people care about length.
Some care about styling.

Her?
"I just want to see my squares.”

Listen… I respect it. Precision matters over here.
