Got a surgical drain? Here are 3 questions we hear all the time:
1. When can my drain be removed?
It depends on your surgery, drainage amount, and your surgeon’s instructions. Your surgeon or medical provider should determine when it’s ready to come out.
2. Does removing the drain hurt?
You may feel some pressure, pulling, or brief discomfort during removal. Everyone’s experience is different.
3. Can I remove my drain myself?
🚨 No. Drain removal should be done by your surgeon or an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

If you’re recovering from surgery, chances are you’ve asked at least one of these:
❓ When can I sit?
❓ When can I stop wearing my faja?
❓ When can I stop wearing my foams & board?
❓ Can I go without my faja this weekend?
❓ When will the soreness go away?
❓ How many massages do I need?
And yes… there’s a lot to know when it comes to post-op recovery!
Every recovery is different, so always follow your surgeon’s specific instructions and check with your post-op care provider if you’re unsure about something.
