Rush project with golden chèvre.

Forgot this one from a while back. Lavender chèvre with blue snake. The layout and pocket shape is pretty standard, but the colors are definitely unique!

It looks like a simple card holder. But its inner structure, reinforcements, and assembly techniques are integral to its durability and repairability long into the future. Vachetta leather ages beautifully, and it should last long enough for you to see it… and beyond.

I took inspiration from wingtip shoes of the early 20th century - with a scalloped edge pocket on the front and hand-broguing on the back - to create a wallet that holds a small brush and a couple cards. The leather is called “pull-up,” and the color changes as you apply pressure. This particular color is natural, but also comes in 17 other colors! For thread, I used navy blue, green, and plum, but there are much more options to choose! Maybe I’ll add it to the site 😉

Broguing comes from 16th-18th century farmers in Scotland and Ireland. They would punch decorative holes in the top of their boots to allow the water to drain out and air to circulate, drying their boots faster.

Machines and mass hole punches can recreate broguing in a matter of seconds, but hand-broguing takes much more time and skill.
